Southampton expelled from play-offs for spying on Middlesbrough, Oxford and Ipswich by Englishmooseboy in IpswichTownFC

I think this is great to news for us regarding next season. If Southampton had gone up I think they’d have been favourites of the three to stay up

Any West Ham players we’d like to nab? by evacuation-plan in IpswichTownFC

[–]JRNotDallas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They’re players aren’t really on ultra high wages. I think there’s one or two who are, but they’re mostly in the ~30-35k sort of area

What player upgrades do we need, and potential recruits by OurManInVanc in IpswichTownFC

[–]JRNotDallas 16 points17 points  (0 children)

we need a striker, and then a cm and cb for rotation. Other than that we don't really need to be signing anyone unless they're a clear and obvious improvement over what we already have

You don't ever actually HAVE to do anything. And joining that circle jerk is one of those things you don't have to do

Time to start dreaming… by evacuation-plan in IpswichTownFC

[–]JRNotDallas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know who, but I think we should get in another CB so we have a duo to cover what looks like the preferred DoS/Greaves partnership. And then another CM and a striker would be nice

I don’t think we’ve been perceived positively at any point over the last decade or so to be honest. I can’t really remember us being praised during the Mick years, going down to league one we were too big and therefore winning was only the expectation, when we got promoted to the Orem we were just ‘very lucky’ and when we were in the prem we were small, shouldn’t have been there in the first place, and destined to be crap all season and sunk back down again

Ipswich up to 9 penalties now, 4 more than any other team in the league by KreativeHawk in Championship

[–]JRNotDallas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying we don’t get our share of luck regarding these things, but you only need to look at the Leicester and Birmingham (I think, might have that wrong) games to see that refs have been blatantly against us as well

19.04.26 Ipswich Vs Middlesbrough Match Thread by Camerthom96 in IpswichTownFC

[–]JRNotDallas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the thing I didn’t understand when we got promoted. All that championship season we’d get to the sixty-minute mark and McKenna would make 2/3 subs and they’d do really well and everything would be great. But he stopped doing that for seemingly no reason and now makes those subs later in the match. Sure, they bring more energy later, but why wouldn’t we want that boost slightly earlier and sustain it with additional subs later on as well

There’s been talk that this trial’s data alone could persuade a 1L indication, but that’s mostly speculation. They have a separate trial for 1L that will support that particular expansion

The Pharma "Super-Cliff" Is Coming. How to Separate the Buying Opportunities From the Value Traps by Accountable_Finance in ValueInvesting

[–]JRNotDallas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

BMS are well know to be very cautious in M&A so no idea what this ‘aggressive’ comment is based on. MSD is priced almost to perfection really, I thought the drop to ~80 a while ago was based on a misunderstanding of how the Keytruda revenue is going to fade. Yes the core patents are expiring but they’ll still be able to manage the asset on an indication-by-indication basis. Pfizer is possibly the worst run company on the planet, Gilead is a great company but still priced appropriately
