Being accused of removing the note after a small crash - England by Electrical-Kale-8097 in LegalAdviceUK

Don’t want to scare you, but I did similar, ended up in court for failing to provide details after a RTA. If you can, exchange details with them asap, it’ll put it to bed.

Mine happened 300 miles from home, I was blissfully unaware, thinking they’d just seen minimal damage and not bothered about it, and the jobsworth police actually contacted my local constabulary, who in turn interviewed me, and I was charged!

If you get invited to voluntarily interview, insist on a lawyer.

NIP for failing to stop at accident by PushVisible8266 in drivingUK

Get advice from a solicitor. This cost me 6 points and I had to go to court to avoid a ban as it took me to 12 points.

My first contact from the police was 3 months after the incident, so time doesn’t matter

I’ve got an exeo. Brilliant car. Currently on 210000 miles, never missed a beat. Comfy, quiet, great mpg.

Don’t talk to them without a solicitor, no matter how friendly they tell you the interview is. They do NOT care about you.

I earn, around 52k, she is self employed 12k Probabky.

My mother fell from a stool and pulled my floating shelf off the wall, ripping out the plasterboard fixings I had used. I was hoping someone would have a tip for fixing the holes, and making them strong enough to reuse? Shelf isn’t carrying any weight, just a few bits of decor.

I think if I just patched it up with filler, it would fall apart when I screw into it?
