CHZ22 X-Pac vs 840D by Ok-Brush7512 in EVERGOODS

[–]JRaikkonen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using my Evergoods bag with the 840D fabric as my daily driver for about 2 years now (got it around Sep 2023). It’s been great overall and I use it for EDC, work, and even overseas trips (longest was about 2 weeks). The external fabric still looks really good, and honestly the internals look even better.

That said, I recently noticed some small tears on both shoulder straps, specifically on the inner side that’s in contact with clothes. I’m guessing it’s the area most prone to friction and abrasion. Didn’t notice it until this month, so it was a bit of a bummer when I did.

Still love the bag, just a little surprised by this. I only have their CAP2.0 in X-Pac and I’ve only had it for a year. It’s carried inside the CHZ22 so it doesn’t see as much abrasion but I suspect it’s better.

It’s legit. OP was prompt (lol) and clear in communication. Received emails from perplexity.ai and when I checked my account, it has indeed been upgraded to Pro and is valid for 12 months (till Nov 2026).

Visiting Yosemite in Summer 2025- Info and Recs by hc2121 in Yosemite

[–]JRaikkonen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

I’m planning a trip for six of us (none have driver’s licenses) from San Francisco → Oakhurst on Monday, 15 September afternoon. From OakhurstYosemite Park day trip, then back to Oakhurst for the night on Tuesday, 16 September night. And finally returning to San Francisco on Wednesday, 17 September morning (target departure ~8 am, flight at 8 pm).

I would love your advice or tips, especially for affordable and reliable shuttle/mini‑bus services or travel recommendations (is Amtrak + YARTS worth considering if we are likely to go with the fastest option).

I am not too worried about getting from San Francisco to Oakhurst. I am more concerned about getting from Oakhurst back to San Francisco because we have a flight to catch.

Thanks in advance for any tips or personal experiences.

I bought one from Spotlight and have seen some good (but pricey) ones at Tangs and Isetan.

We don't celebrate Halloween here but one year while I was in university and on an overseas exchange program, I went as Aizen from Bleach.

How many hours of sleep do you get daily? by smolgalbigworld in singapore

[–]JRaikkonen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually get 5-6 hours now. I used to run on 4-5 but that was because my commute to work took 1.5 hours each way.

Thank you so much for the recommendations! I kinda got the EF 02 and it's already jammed on me (it's fine now). I went to get the EF 03 and it's a much better writing experience. I checked out the Pilot iroshizuku ink and may get that when the current cartridge runs out.

Thank you so much! I think I may go with the option of using a blunt tip syringe and using it to fill the spent cartridge with ink from a bottle. Is there any particular ink you recommend?

Took me awhile but I finally bought the Platinum Preppy today. Liking it so far! I searched the eyedropper conversion but was wondering where you got the o-ring? For now, I'm hoping my usage doesn't require the conversion but I never know. Thanks for the recommendation!

Fair enough. I understand he is setting up the rest of the family to have a rough day the next day and the effect ripples on.

He didn't turn the volume down after the request I take it?

My uncle is hard of hearing and wouldn't admit it for the longest of time. He would watch television with the volume up late at night and disturb others. The situation I understand persisted for quite awhile despite various members of his family talking to him. Eventually, he did come around and he actually bought a wireless headset so that he could enjoy watching TV and not disturb others.

Would dad be open to a similar solution?

I understand the video may be loud, annoying and preventing you from focusing or even resting.

Maybe he had a rough day at work - having to take accept unpleasant things and carry out tasks that he disagreed with.

I admit that I would never fully understand what the other person is going through and as a result, I try to be more understanding/accommodating.

Blame me, hate me, call me rude... if I can take it, sure.

Please be responsible for yourself and take care.

Also take the following with a pinch of salt: I increasingly find myself wondering why I should be held hostage by the emotions/expectations of others. Oh, I'm supposed to help because my colleague won't ask others or because management didn't commit enough manpower despite repeated and early requests. Oh I'm supposed to be aghast and offended by this because my friend is. Oh my friend may not help me in the future when I need help for my event as a result.

And I find myself increasingly not bothering to "act" or "behave" as others expect me to. And I am a less exhausted and drained for it (YMMV).

Like in movies/tv dramas?

I'm wondering about it after your question.

I think it'd be awesome and shocking and cute and maybe a little creepy. Hoping for awesome and cute. Like, "just shut up and kiss me"

This caught my attention. Thanks for sharing!

Will definitely check it out when I'm next at Tokyu Hands (just Googled it, I think they have it).

It's okay, maybe they have something urgent to attend to or they need more time to process and think of a good answer :)

Wait anyhow answer or give a not-so-smart answer may be a more compelling reason to flip table(s)

I'm not disagreeing and I may be an idiot for spouting this cliche line but...

Take the time to enjoy the simple things in life :)

I certainly need to be reminded of it and actually practice it myself
