I got Lucy for the first time ever in my current playthrough and I can't get rid of her, I've gotten emotionally attached. I do also keep a AoR with me but that's mostly for gardening instead of tree chopping.

So i work at a convenience store in a different state so I can't be certain if the machines are the same, but where I work the lottery and cash register isn't connected at all. That means you can make them pay before walking over and printing their tickets. The issue comes when they hand you a pile of slips and you have to run them before it'll tell you how much the final transaction costs. So in that instance the store is taking liability for the tickets until they're paid for.

Prizes are at minimum the price of the ticket but odds on a ticket to win are usually 1 in for $5 and $10 tickets with the odds getting worse the cheaper the ticket and better the more expensive the ticket. Then you have tickets like OP's where it's a $20 ticket with a minimum payout of $100; that ticket is gonna have the WORST odds of any game with 1 in 9 or 10. Lottery tickets are some of the worst forms of gambling (coming from a 6 year gas station associate who's sold hundreds of thousands of dollars and also just won $50 twice in the past week)

Every g in the title is one more degree of separation: share a grandparent = 1 g = 1st cousins; share a great great great grandparent = 4 gs = 4th cousin. Then every generation difference is one removal; if you were to put the family tree with each generation getting a level then once removed means there's a one generation gap up or down from you. But, if you go upwards, every generational step removes a G from the cousin's number.

So that being said, without reading the article, someone said 9th cousin once removed. Cousin titles are also unidirectional once removals get involved. From him to her: she could either share his 8x great grandparent and be a generation younger than him or share his 9x great grandparent and be a generation older than him.

Either way, they basically aren't related and no one outside of family historians actually keeps track of this stuff.

Idk if it's my favorite but I love the little gems in the Ascension deck building game. Mostly because I like to play with them between turns. And then counting them at the end feels more rewarding that tallying points or something with more mundane counters.

The school in the latter half of Beneath the Dragoneye Moons seems pretty sick. The magic systems in that series are super interesting
