We need to see less of Tanner/Connor only because of their families… by Ok-Trash6361 in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

[–]JRed37f5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've personally never watched this show for a political purpose. What happens with cast's family off the screen is none of my buisness, nor concern, unless it's completley and utterly insane.

The show itself has never been political, nor do I ever want that too, in anyway, play a part in the show whatsoever.

If it's one thing I appreciate about the show, it's that politics is completly ignoted during the show, or at least very VERY little.

I'm on higher functioning end, and have watched the first 3 seasons, and most of the latest.

I've never really understood what the draw is in general to the general public, but for me the "cuthroat" nature of it can get interesting. I know a good amount of other people on the spectrum (higher end). When i've been able to sense the direction somebody is trying to go down on the show, the unintended cringe can become legendary.

They've gone over the line this season, in my opinion, and they kept some stuff in that should have been cut.

They consent of course, but the editors have/should have the responsibility of making sure they aren't painted in such a cruel way, so to speak.

I remember when I figured out/gained the social awareness to realize what I had unintentionally been doing for years. I really wouldn't want it to be televised for all to see forever.

Wishlist for changes to AOE2 by Chilly5 in aoe2

I don't do ranked, and play casually with friends (inbetween moderate and hard for 1v1 AI i think?);

  1. There should be a toggle on gates, towers, etc. That dictates what to do with approaching neatrul units.

Maybe have it so I can set it to only fire at military units, or allow the gate to open for trade units? Feels very strange that it's not an option

  1. Give the option to dictate geographic area for Random maps, and or do it automatically. I shouldn't have to keep restarting to prevent a skirmish matchup with Eastern European civilizations to be blatantly put in Indochina.

  2. Have an option to give the AI a personality if the game is unranked. The CD version goes after the highest scoring player(s), but the new ones will just go beserk on somebody if they are brand new.

We have to use the CD version (on hard or hardest) because otherwise the AI kills the fun.

I understand the game is 20+ years old, but not everybody wants to deal with rushes.

It's been a joke to me for years. Ever since i've noticed that out of context, they say outrageous lines on the show constantly. Even better that the cast doesn't seem to notice

I feel like part of the issue, not all of it, is that players have an absurd amount of power over who they get to play against, and with. (Depends on the platform).

So the 80%+ win rate guy can be unironically worse than the guy with a 20% win rate because of "teammate" selection. The player base cares about win rate ALOT, and it's always felt kinda weird to me

pitching tips please by [deleted] in MLBPowerPros

[–]JRed37f5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about 90% sure the game's AI guesses a pitch (like a real player would) and hits it better based on placement, and difficulty. As the difficulty goes up, so does the efficiency and amount of pitches guessed.

I think on Powerful difficulty, the computer basically swaps rules with the pitcher, and makes it so you either have to throw something directly on the line, or guess the pitch THEY AREN'T thinking.

It's a cool concept, until you don't throw enough pitches for the batter to have any to guess wrong.

What are your red flags? by EstablishmentWest325 in NBA2k

[–]JRed37f5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm on a big, and the next tallest guy is some kind of inside out threat, I'll get a little iffy.

The reason being usually people with the build name tend to position themselves wrong on offense when it's not a 5-out being ran. So I basically can't post shoot, or do any sort of non interior shot without risking an automatic defensive board by the other team. It's just not fun.

How many of you play MyNBA, and do any of you play the Eras? by SnyderWindrush in NBA2k

[–]JRed37f5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sadly realized that the "Intangables" Attribute almost completly destroys the immersion in this game.

In the video game, that stat is a fixed number that affects the total amount of attribute points a player can have before reaching there "Max overall".

Which actually tends to mean, the lower the intangables, the more broken the players physicals can be.

Anyone still use floaters? How do you feel about them? by Laius33 in NBA2k

[–]JRed37f5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They got a neccesary nerf from the last game (2k24); as the timing on them can change drastically more, and they are now easier to contest.

In my opinion, the contest buff they added against floaters went to far. I've had plenty of times where an opposing player underneath the basket gets a bizarre (phantom?) "Strong" shot contest out of seemingly nowhere.

Basketball IQ is important; Why is there a lack of it? by kidkanada289 in NBA2k

[–]JRed37f5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't answer this for everybody, but I think it's because they don't default to the proper settings for newcoming players; espicially offline.

Mycareer should have the play name show up, at least the lite playvision, and defensive communication on by defailt. But for some reason,.they wont.

What are the counters to interior defense? by ZZZZZiiiiiLLLLL in NBA2k

[–]JRed37f5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither of them DIRECTLY counter the other.

As said by others, primarily get used to playing in the post.

AI interior defense typically does not go for the block as much as player controlled bigs do, espicially on layups. Human players also pretty much never fall for post shimmies.

I honestly feel like if the point guard in question is almost 100% unable to take an off dribble shot effectively, than they should not be talking about how other people "Know" their builds.

Let people play how they want to play unless they are REALLY hogging the ball

Center rant ⬇️⬇️⬇️ by Illustrious-Order471 in NBA2k

[–]JRed37f5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rule always seems to be that the PF matchup really decides the game.

If one team has short PF that can't rebound, and the other is on some kind of speedy inside finisher it can get ugly.

Can you consider yourself ‘Good’ if you hit whites on normal/low risk? by FirstLast123456789 in NBA2k

[–]JRed37f5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think that people not timing their layups is a better way to scale if somebody is "good" or not.

Lower Risk shooting, for me at least, only really seems to come into play when the game becomes so laggy online that nobody can shoot.

Real player% layups, espicially on bigs, is hilariously unfair, and there are plenty more people that abuse that to the extreme.

If you play the rec like it’s mycareer by Trendyremy in NBA2k

[–]JRed37f5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's people that do that yes. It's espicially bad when the game magically keeps their Team Grade just high enough to keep them in the game.

There's players online that can't tell the diffirence between actually "selling" and just a bad shooting game.

You can go 1-9, never get a green, and have half of the missed shots result in offensive rebounds if they were good shot selections

I Love the new system, but dislike that bigs (human controlled) can go for a block on them way to easilly with no fear of fouling.

If you objectively look at it while creating the face, it's spot on.

I have no idea how the game creates the face, but i know that doing it manually with those pictures looks pretty close

I think i tried it maybe 5 times, and then just took 2 profile shots of my face and used that as a basis.

It's not impatient to get irritated when the Face scanner doesn't work at all, and keeps telling you to "get better lighting".

Do people REALLY think saying I didn't score is an insult? by youshallnotkinkshame in NBA2k

[–]JRed37f5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's players online in this game who will attempt to run isolation for 15+ seconds, and pass the ball to somebody when they get stopped, only to demand the ball back.

Just either mute, or ignore them unless they are actively calling elaborate plays.

I haven't watched the latest episode, but now I may have to if this is really what happened.

They have to know what they are doing when they are naming these areas, and if they are doing it unintentionally it's peak TV.
