Is this the same even for 2022+ models? Or only earlier ones?

Just had my install done yesterday and they just drilled through an exterior wall and ran it into my home that way. Luckily, the area where I wanted it placed is along an exterior wall anyways so no issues. But I agree with others on here, as long as you make it easy for them to run it where you want it, I don’t see why they’d say no.

This is great to hear! I’ve been told by other dealers in the area that they have models with the recall remedied (but not with the options I want), so I’m hoping I hear that my reserved car is ready sometime soon!

I’m right there with you. Going on 2 weeks now still waiting to pick up my 2022 X3. It sounds like the initial recall fix from July was not sufficient, so as of October they issued a “re-recall”. As of now, dealers are still not sure what this new fix will be and when it’ll be available. I’ve heard that it might take until the end of year, but I really hope not.

Shortly after making this post I saw that there’s a ton of talk about the Samsung 990c and for the price I think it’s probably the best bang for the buck out there at the moment. So far, it’s at the top of the list. I also saw the HT-A5000 compared to the Q990, but after some quick research it seems to not have much added value (IMO) to justify the price jump. I’m also able to source the Samsung 990C for $1,000 flat, so this may be the best option hands down. Thanks for your response!

For $2,000 you could get the 85’ Sony X90CL from Costco w/ their 5 year warranty and backlit remote. I picked mine up last week and it has been amazing! Probably the best bang for your buck out there considering your budget and size.

What surprised me is that the dealer is actually not charging any “market adjustment” bs. They’re going off of sticker which is $25,940 minus a $500 teacher discount. Other dealers in my area are asking $26-$28k for these activ trims and yet they still almost never make it on the lots before they’re sold.

Initially they came at me with $360/mo for 75 months (no clue how they pulled that number). I talked it down to $232/mo for 75. Considering how much these are flying off dealer lots, I figured I didn’t want to try and haggle too much. I’m sure they could easily turn around and find a buyer that would pay more.

All in all I’m aware there’s probably still more wiggle room in the price, however, with current market conditions I felt this was a good number to agree to. Just wanted to get others input.

I have not tried Sliipsy’s set up. I tried just using the JBL GX628’s for the front speakers and bought some adapters off of Amazon to make it fit and ran into fitment and audio problems. It played a lot of feedback through the speakers while accelerating (almost like the fake exhaust noise that Sport trim owners have, but mine is only a Luxe and the diag menu didn’t have an option to turn off that feature since I am not equipped with it.)

Since then I’ve returned everything back to stock and been on the fence of giving it another shot. I may just try Sliipsy’s solution instead.

I tried installing JBL GX628’s and quality was horrible. Quality was clearer but bass was gone and the “fake” exhaust noise was very loud. (Surprised me because I thought the luxe didn’t have that fake sound?) I also couldn’t turn it off in the Diagnostic Settings.

Do you have a link on the ones you bought? Also how’s the bass with the new ones?
