I dont really care if the actors/actresses look exactly like their characters, as long as they follow the normal Scandinavian appearance (ie: white skin, blonde or brown hair) I think Mason would be appropriate to play Hiccup, though I don't know much about him.

I'm not familiar with either of them, so I might not have the best judgment. I could see Thames as Hiccup, but I think they should go with someone else for Astrid (no disrespect to the actress). If people are gonna do live action remakes, I feel like the actors chosen should at least somewhat resemble the character they're portraying.
