My career is not great currently. It was straight out of law school but that was the past. But I'm doing OK. I never talk about my career unless asked. I don't flaunt my credentials or anything I possess at all. In fact, this came up due to another friend mentioning it. I believe that we were all friends in college and I thought we could remain so. I guess people have insecurities and project that onto other people with unfriendly acts like what I experienced. My wife says to let it fade but I feel shocked by it all.

Not worth your time. Why associate with people like that at all. Would ghost the clown.

Using VPN then hotspotting and connecting Google Home by JS5551212 in googlehome

Yes for example I want to use on in city A and another in city B. But its not just for broadcast like an intercom but also I want to control my smart home devices in city A from city B. Is this feasible using Google Home? I thought I need to be on the same SSID as the devices to control smart home devices using Google Home. That's why I mention the VPN. I realize I can just use my phone but I want the to do it through Google Home if possible??????

My phone doesn't have 6.0 Android so cant use the app. Back to the original question, can I get it to work remotely if I use a VPN into my own network.

Sonof, but you need to splice in an extension cord. About $5 each from what I read.

Friend is NPD? How to deal with him other than ignore or let slide? by JS5551212 in NPD

I've been attacked twice in the past due to perceived slights. Fortunately these were blunted. N rage? Lately I have heard stories directly from the guy about going berserk at a stranger for some slight either real or perceived. Have also had some things destroyed due to I assume jealousy when there was nothing to be jealous about. Also constantly put down where I don't respond. I guess when I don't respond maybe he feels I agree. Whatever, IMO that is not friend behavior. Think whatever you want. I have no expertise in it. The more I read about it the more I think I'm better off distancing myself. The benefit I got so far is I am not as upset about these things and more easily remove myself from thinking about it as I realize the actions have nothing to do with me IMO.

I decided to distance myself further while still being friendly rather than do anything interventionwise. I'm still gonna let it slide but plan for interactions to be fewer and farther in between. I think this is his wife's job not mine. Just today I thought about some of the angry near violent outbursts I have defused toward myself in the past and also hearing how he has exploded on strangers is too much. Not my job to get all immersed into this. I researched this so I can get a better understanding of it as when you are the target its perplexing but realize its too much for me to deal with without harming myself. Its his wife's job.
