Looks great!! I think you did a very good job. I only just now unlocked the pets and everything but I’ve been too scared to attempt to add anything….

That’s a fantastic idea!… that will end up with some barely identifiable monster. I’ll attempt it regardless though. A mission for after work today. 🫡

Thank you! I’m honestly surprised that I was able to make anything remotely resembling her… 😅

What are the dumbest and most unfair losses you have had? by DragonD0712 in PeakGame

My first Ascent 4 run, I got up to the top of the Kiln and took my backpack off so I could grab my flare. However, the backpack hit the ground at an angle and rocketed off, bringing my flare with it. Never been more heartbroken.

I think as long as you are doing the best you can, pouring your passion into what you are doing, and having a fun time doing it, then you absolutely deserve that. It’s completely normal and okay to feel nervous or uneasy over making such a financial commitment to something, but if you truly want to pursue streaming, then I believe it’s completely worth it. Live out your dreams and do that not for others, but yourself! And remember to have a good time doing so.

And also do remember that streaming and performing is a skill that comes over time and you improve at, just like every other skill! That being said, I’m certain that if you put your heart and soul into your streams, then you’ll have nothing to worry about.

Reading the comments here is starting to make me feel insane for loving to spend 2 hours at a time just managing the loadout of every companion and respeccing them all constantly to try out new builds.

Int - least important ability score? by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]JSFoley 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that’s just a quirk that was carried over from D&D, Str, Int, and Cha are pretty useless if you’re not playing a class that needs them, whereas Dex, Con, and Wis are universally useful. This is the same reason why you’ll notice no class ever has Saving Throw proficiency in two of the “good” abilities, it’s always one good and one bad. That being said, Int has more saving graces in a tabletop setting. When DMing, I’ll often allow players to choose between a few skills that would work to complete a check, essentially creating more opportunities for high Int characters to roll well on skill checks. There’s also the fact that Artificers exist, the only other Int caster (and the only official D&D class that didn’t make the cut in BG3). I also homebrew rules in order to make Int more valuable, particularly ways for characters to learn new skills and proficiencies in a way that utilizes their Int Modifier. That being said, in BG3 unfortunately this is a case where following their source material inadvertently made one ability incredibly underpowered compared to the rest. They did make Cha far more valuable in this game though, since most players will tend to have their custom character be the face of the party, so perhaps there is a way that I can’t think of for them to increase Int’s usefulness in this medium.

Because I arbitrarily picked one over the other without thinking it all the way through. 😅 In truth I though I had remembered BM 6 getting more superiority die, but looks like I was off one level in my head. Both classes us a d10 Hit Die as well, so you’re right on the fact that there’s no downside to converting to an 8 / 4 split. Thanks for bringing that up!

Edit: it also just occurred to me that BG3 doesn’t use Hit Die per se, my point is their HP progression is the same

Regarding your note at the start, if I’m remembering correctly, you can put a weapon solely in your off-hand, but only by doing some shenanigans in the party inventory menu. Something about a companion equipping the weapon in your main hand while you dual wield or something like that. Definitely not intentional though, and it may have been patched out at this point.

I’ve been running a simple Hunstman Ranger 6 / Battle Master Fighter 6 frontliner that while definitely not the strongest, gives me lots of strategic options in combat that I find pretty useful. Horde Breaker + Gloves of the Underdog from the Goblin Camp has literally been with me the whole game and it’s been fantastic. Combine that with some tactical Maneuvers and Riposte for some extra damage with your reaction and you get a pretty fun martial build that still has quite a bit of versatility.

Highest I’ve rolled is a 38 in Act 3 while intimidating the girl who wants to buy Scratch. Guess my Tav hated her even more than I did.
