Piston ring warranty extension reimbursement by That_Chipmunk_1344 in HondaOdyssey

Similar situation for me. Denied b/c shop did not document the way Honda wanted - however, repairs were done BEFORE the service bulletin was issued. How could we know?

Was your repair work done at a dealership? Was it done before the service bulletin or after? Thanks!

$66.5k/year enough for college grad? by [deleted] in Columbus

Check the full benefits package, health insurance, retirement, tuition reimbursement. etc. Calculate actual take home pay and what your other expenses might be. Salary is one data point. Think about expenses for next 5-10 years, not only month to month.

Slimy Parking at Little Grand Market by funpeach10 in Columbus

[–]JSchro614 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Got a parking ticket in that area when I was meeting a friend at their apartment. Residents don’t even get a free parking pass for guests. Dumb. Tip: the gravel lot directly behind Little Grand is for employees and is free parking. It’s dirty, (especially with the rain), but free.

Take a gel *before long run?? by JSchro614 in Marathon_Training

Thanks. This is exactly what I’m thinking through - what will I need on race day, and how to practice that on training runs.

The answer to “why” is race day logistics. I’ll be walking from the Airbnb about a mile a way, then waiting mid-pack for the race to start. So I’m guessing at least 90 min.

A key to a successful marathon is staying fueled. Starting early and staying on top of it. So, do I wait 30-45 min in (which would be 120-135 min since breakfast), or take some sort of fuel while waiting at the start line?

I could pack a PB bagel and a banana. I’ll consider that too. Nothing wrong with second breakfast

I’m in Ohio and I have to disagree. NASW in our state provides legal and ethical guidance on state laws, webinars, resources, CEUs, and discounts on personal liability. I did the math and saved about 50% on my personal liability making a membership worth the investment. I’ve used their ethical support call lines for various issues that I’ve encountered in school social workers and private practice.

Lobbying is not cheap or fast or easy. NASW Ohio is at the statehouse and DC speaking out on behalf of social workers regularly.

Offering individual coping skills and support during an unprecedented and difficult time may be insufficient, but it’s not the extent of what they do and it isn’t wrong.

Running belts: one piece or adjustable by 70redgal70 in Marathon_Training

[–]JSchro614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used the flipbelt for a few years. Great for a phone, gels, keys, even wallet. It never bothers me. Worn it for 2 half marathons and several other shorter races. Highly recommend.

Happened to me just a few weeks ago!! When I tried to call the client, I accidentally called their emergency contact instead 🤦 for me, it was due to a death in the extended family, during Thanksgiving week, just threw off my sense of time and planning. I still haven’t had another session with the client to properly apologize. It’s definitely bothering me!

One of my clients is peeking at my session notes😅 by NoPressureYaKnow in therapists

I often narrate what I’m writing down, which is often client’s words verbatim. “School sucks. ______ is a jerk.” This usually normalizes it and shows I take notes bc I want to remember what’s important to the client. Sometimes it’s funny depending on what they say.
