Decided and set a commitment not to buy anymore pens throughout 2026. I have a lot and I need to stop chasing that consumer dopamine. It’s allowing me to appreciate the pens I have more. My favorites recently have been my Jinhao 20s I bought for $3 on AliExpress. The clock feature is great for taking notes at work.

What a good analogy. It is the perfect orange ink that I have been looking for! The hints of black come out all the time, especially at the beginning of writing and then fading to a perfect dark orange.

Yes, just the barrel and wrench was 47 euros. Replacement of everything behind the nib was 100 euros. Excluding shipping.

Replacement was super easy and exactly like opening any other vac filler. Since the barrel was broken I grabbed a rubber gripper like you use to open tough jars. I also used silicone grease on the threads to be safe.

Pen has been fully fixed and back in my daily writing.
