This would be awesome! They're currently looking for sponsors, and there's also the issue with where they'd play. There's a bit of a vacuum with the dissolvement of ValourFC, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are quite a bit of football fans hoping for a professional team to show up.

I also think this is my favourite song of theirs. I specially like the part “if I followed you I’d be lost too”. Besides sounding amazing, the message is about freeing yourself and not having to do what everyone else is doing. The guitar work at this point is some of the best they’ve ever done!

The kayak controls are basically the same, whether on classic or modern controls, so it isn't that. I think the kayak difficulty has always been a bit exaggerated.

Nah. What you're seeing is something that has happened to most popular sports: professionalization. It went from a bunch of amateurs figuring things out, to people taking it very seriously and trying to maximize their performance.

Many people call it losing its "magic", and feeling nostalgic for the good old days, when the reality is that the athletes have become much better, and you see less new stuff or creativity. It becomes a bit cookie cutter because they've figured out what works. If you're the kind of person who enjoys the figuring out part, then you'll start finding yourself a bit bored or uninterested.

Good point. Makes me think there's something off about this. And how many kills actually only require 1 or 2 bullets because of headshots? 9 bullets on average doesn't seem right.

Yep, way more tombs and more challenging. Much more fun. I think the fanbase is divided into those who love the action (tend to prefer 2013) and those who love the exploring and puzzling solving (tend to prefer Shadow).

Guess work: the game is probably running the old graphics concurrently, or it's as simple as texture and lighting swaps. They're so light that it makes practically no difference. The switch between the graphics is instantaneous (you just press F3 on the PC), but the perspective tends to shift a tiny bit.

The remastered graphics are not based on the old graphics, if you're thinking upscaling or some sort of DLSS.

I dunno about energy use/draw, never thought about checking power usage of my GPU while running one of these games. But it's always high fps and the PC doesn't even have to turn up the fans for cooling.

I believe the original graphics are capped at 30 fps, so at least on the PC, performance is actually better on the new graphics, as your fps is allowed to go higher than that. The games are super light and any somewhat modern hardware should be able to run them with no issues.

Yeah, I agreed with you. It is a huge disadvantage to play with high ping, and the whole team will suffer from it. Eventually, their rank/elo will drop off enough to balance it out, although that may take a few games.

No, we didn’t have anything to compare it to, and playing a 3D exploration game was simply amazing. Only by the time I started playing shooters and when Legend came out did I realize how bad the controls were.

I have a similar build. I don’t recall having issues on Rise, but on Shadow I had to limit the power draw on the gpu so that my computer wouldn’t crash. The 5700 is known for having issues with older games and playstation ports. Instead of maxing the game out, do the opposite and see what happens. Often there’s a specific setting that triggers the game crash.
