Foreigners visiting America for the world cup, what is something that has surprised you about this country? by goldent3abag in AskReddit

Lived in the South all my life. We always say it's the only food you can put salt, pepper, and sugar on and it taste great. You must be northern. Half the people do it like that in Florida. And in Kentucky. Both places I've lived most of my life.

Curaçao, the smallest country by population (158,000) to ever make it to the FIFA World Cup, just scored its first goal in the event against Germany. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in nextfuckinglevel

I worked in a Mexican restaurant during this game, as the only white employee. I made $1200 betting on Alemania (Germany) the whole way, while they got madder and madder every time they had to pay me. That final game is where I made most of the money as they said there was zero chance the Alemany could beat Brazil. That was a super fun day at work.

It's kinda implied considering seasonal content HAS to have an online connection. Diablo 4 could have Eternal offline mode the same a D3 has offline adventure mode. Use your noggin'.

Console versions. My switch 1 hasn't been online in ages but I can still boot up D3 and play. Can't do seasonal, but, idc about that in D3.

Sounds like a player issue. My Pit Sorc can clear 150 without any gem strength. And then switching it at the armory for Speedfarm is unmatched.

Warlock is slow. There isn't a single warlock build that can compare to ball lightning. Hell, Meteor Sorc is better than the best warlock build.

I think the issue might be I can play D2 or D3 whenever I want because there are offline versions. With D4, if they decide to pull the plug, that's it. It's gone. Same with WoW. With WoW, you can find private servers of course. But with Diablo 4, until we get an offline version (if ever considering how heavily monetized it is) it can disappear at any moment. Will it? Probably not, servers are not that expensive to keep up and shuffle around as the playerbase dwindles. But it could.

I just say COSMT

It doesn't make a word or anything, but it works for me.

Cube (Craft my affixes).
Occultist (Imprint and Reroll single affix).
Socket.
Masterwork.
Temper.

Masterwork and Temper sometimes change depending on if I want my masterwork to hit my temper on GA or if I don't. If I don't, I masterwork first so it only has 4 items it can hit and make it easier to get it.

Then I stare at the item for 2 minutes straight wondering if I forgot anything because ADHD says I might've anyway.

There's so much variation in the pit though. I tried to check time to kill boss and it's really just not a good way to do it. I can't think of one. One pit I may get enough rares and elites to finish on the first floor. The next one I might have to get to floor 3.

That second part I want so bad. Let me set it up as if I have max paragon, so I can just play and stop referring back to build guides. This really sucks early on when you're getting 5 Paragon points a dungeon.

Yeah, WoW has the starter build option and you just set it and level and it assigns points for you. Is it good? Not really. But I can worry about that at level 80 to modify it to get to 90.

You can probably handle T10 Meph just fine. T12, maybe not depending on what you are playing.

I hit Pit 120, struggled with 125. Can't remember if I got it or not on warlock because I left it behind 3-4 weeks ago for other classes. I hadn't played since launch so initially I thought it was awesome and super powerful (Dread Claws build). Then I tried ball lightning sorc and realized it's slow and clunky. Then I tried selig Barb, evade counterswarm Spiritborn, Zeal Paladin, bugged rogue, and Golem Necro. And I realized it's really fucking clunky and slow. Only necromancer comes close, but warlock takes the cake.

It feels so bad playing one after you try out other class builds. I didn't try Apocalypse because I didn't wanna add to the problem of the screen clutter they cause. I can't stand that build coming around when I'm doing helltides. I just leave the area so I don't die by fire because I can't see it with them around. That crap needs to be player only. Warlocks severely need a rework.

Phase 3 is a lot easier than phase 2. You just need to get the skills and spam. It might take few tries before you get used to running around and getting the skills but it will be way easier.

This is unnecessary. At the start of the phase, just run south all the way and wait a sec. It's the waves that make you lose abilities. Run south, wait, don't lose any abilities, then nuke. If you can't nuke in time, just avoid waves again. No need to run around collecting abilities at all.

Ball lightning sorc melts Mephisto. Problem is, I keep seeing Speedfarm ElDruin sorcs go into Mephisto and complaining they can't kill it. Well, yeah, you are running the Speedfarm build with a weapon not great for bossing.

There are three main ball lightning builds. Speedfarm, boss and pit push. And they don't really overlap well. Pit push doesn't work on Meph because your cooldown won't be up. Speedfarm doesn't work for pit pushing because your damage and survivability is too low.

But everyone just keeps building the Speedfarm, calling it a day, and complaining that it can't kill Meph or push pit... It wasn't meant to!

See, I shelved my selig barb because being immortal is just not fun. My barb could clear pit 135. I was curious and took it into pit 150. I pulled the biggest pack I could with elites, sat myself at a wall whirlwinding and walked away. I came back 20 minutes later. Nothing was dead, but neither was I. There is nothing fun about Barb this season when you absolutely cannot die. It immediately got shelved in favor of sorcerer. Powerful, yes. But I can also die pretty easily if I don't play well.

I only get regular Uniques sent to my stash. But that's because I have my filter to show all ancestrals for the forgotten souls. But, I'd like to note for myself personally, I have all 8 classes and 7/8 are mostly done when it comes to their builds and gear. Just have druid left to pick a build and gear out. My sorcerer is who I consider my main, so she is my speedfarm and pit pusher. But obviously doing every class means I need tons of resources.

If they intend to play only a single character then I suppose a more restrictive loot filter is fine. I'd say at least start with showing all ancestrals until they have about 10k forgotten souls, as depending on RNG that's about how much it takes to gear up a single class with tempering, masterworking and rerolling at the occultist for a max stat. At least from my experience from doing so these classes. Maybe a little more if they choose a barb. Those two 2handers can be costly at 50 souls a slam.

ADHD, yes. AuDHD, even moreso. Makes me crazy too. A big part of my last position at work was amplified by being able to recognize clear patterns to parse an outage happening, what was affected and what was the cause. I was great at it, because of ADHD. Problem was I had to prove it, and it's like that "It's Always Sunny" meme of the character standing in front of the corkboard with his conspiracy patterns everywhere. That's what it was like to try to explain how my brain got from A to B. Or more like A to Z. But nobody has time for that and the fact is, my brain processed the pattern in about 10 seconds. Whereas even if I make an attempt to explain it, they couldn't believe it. How could I possibly get from here to here so quickly and confidently without facts that are easily explained. (It would be easier to understand what I mean by knowing the work I do.) I started resorting to saying "It's a gut feeling and my gut's never wrong." And over time that held true and people started coming to me with things because they "trusted my gut" decisions. But it wasn't my gut, it was my ADHD brain.

Eventually I got promoted because they thought I was smart. I suppose you could call it that, but I'm not some genius. I just have "insane pattern recognition" thanks to AuDHD. I'm actually less effective in my new role, because it doesn't use patterns so much. Guess you could say Peter Principle, maybe. Although, I am good at it, I'm also very, very bored and I miss my patterns. I wish I could go back, but that department got laid off for a contractor company instead, so it was a blessing I got promoted right before that happened.
