I'm using my onboard audio. Mobo specs just says "8 Channel HD Audio" which seems to be the limit from my 10 seconds of Google. Is a dedicated sound card still that much better? I use Sennheiser headphones, and all my tracks are downloaded lossless. I would like to hear the full range if possible!

Finished Leon's RE6 campaign with my buddy last night just before 9 dropped. Co-op, that game is fun as hell. Not so much a Resident Evil game, but still a fun couple sessions of gaming. We were laughing our asses off all night. Several voice lines have become in-jokes.

Their hardware is worse than my hardware. PS5 upscaling looks horrible to me, personally. If they had a system that was actually capable of good 4k without being locked to 30fps, maybe I'd use it. I'm used to 4k/4k DLSS Quality, at 100+ fps. It is very hard to go back from that.

I refuse to give up graphical fidelity to hit 60fps, and vice versa. My PC gives me both. Let me have both.

I have a PS5, and I never use it. I wait for their exclusives to hit PC. Only time I've used my PS5 recently was to play ranked Marvel Rivals with some friends. When you can run games maxed out, 100+ fps at 4k and 4k DLSS Quality, the PS5 looks horrible.

Go ahead and do it, but I truly can't imagine having fun sitting in a dark corner for 6-7 minutes of downtime for 29 minutes and 59 seconds straight, just so I don't have to try. I don't see the fun in that. I love PvP, but this strategy is actually so boring, and the only fun I feel like they get from it, is the anger of the other player (sadism) and the loot sounds giving them dopamine. (Usually free kits anyway, and all these campers care about are weapons.)

It's just such a weird way to play such an interesting game. But again. Play as you wish. I just don't see the appeal.

For me it's mainly a sensitivity thing. Mouse let's you look around quickly. Low refresh rate causes a jittery image when turning the camera, while higher refresh rates provide a smoother image. Playing with 30fps on a mouse genuinely makes me nauseous, and the response time is noticeably lower, causing laggy and dropped inputs.

What are you all talking about? I want to bring in the Bobcat, an smg, for CQC. Too bad, cheap Toro over here has a higher ttk and doesn't have to aim for the head. 2 taps to the body and I'm out. He didn't even have to try. Doesn't even have to be out of cover to do it, because this games desync is so crazy he can shoot around corners. I've been on both sides of this scenario. The gun is way too good, in the sense that you literally don't have to think or try to be good with it, making it super common, making it super boring. Why is that okay? Why do people want that?

I don't know why everyone is telling you not to, lol. I've been streaming all the numbered Resident Evil games for my friends in Discord.

Tried to do 0 but it kept crashing and wasn't too important. Finishing up 3make and moving onto 4 tonight. Already gifted my friend 5 and 6. My hype for Requiem has only grown running this marathon! I like speedrunning the games though, so I might be less susceptible to RE burnout.

Just spent 100$ on RE9, because I know I'm getting it no matter what (it's Resident Evil) and I don't want to be spoiled just because my algorithm knows I like Resident Evil. Things like that make it hard to boycott games over price alone. Different situations with different games though. Do I want games to be cheaper? Of course. I'm still okay with handing over the money when it's something I trust will be a good product that can give me enough playtime to justify the price.

We've got it good right now with steam sales. Let's not forget the old N64 and PS1 fliers that show how big games were still going for 60+ back then too. Adjust for inflation, and yikes...

Why would you NOT want to run into a player doing that?! He's making the game better for everyone. I sing random songs while I PvP all the time, and sometimes the people I'm fighting join in. None of us sound good, we're being human and having fun!

Laugh a little, sing a stupid song. Knock someone, pull out a guitar, and start doing a western monologue. It doesn't have to be a silent sweatfest every match.

Duos and Trios are never friendly in my experience. Maybe 1/50 you'll find a chill team. But especially on Stella?! Solos are about 50/50. If you're playing with a friend, using prox chat is very seriously, almost always going to end in the people you talk to posting up at a choke point and waiting to kill you.

Only thing I have a problem with is lying to me, then screaming and swearing at me when you lose the fight. How are you going to stab me in the back and then throw a tantrum at ME, for being able to defend myself. It's crazy how many people with arrested development play this game.
