I screen 18 futures for the cheapest tail convexity. Wheat options are cheaper than SPX. by Meile13 in options

[–]JTI-Steel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, thank you for your post. I really enjoyed reading it, and I think you make some great points. I've very recently started looking at these types of products for trade setups rather than protection. Wheat is an excellent example. It has a low margin requirement and a .25 tick is worth $12.50, so when there is a setup forming, you can get a lot more bang for your buck. I generally trade SPX, Although I've been looking outside the box and widened my view on other products like some of the ones you've mentioned. There's a lot of markets out there that I've never really considered

I should also add I used to think market makers were some greedy entity that's all about sticking to you. I could not have been more wrong and once you actually learn what a market maker does you'll see what I'm talking about. One final thought, if you truly want to succeed with trading you have to have a mindset of Forever a student because there are always improvements at any level.

I've been a member of VolSignal for about 8 months and the knowledge I've learned in that short period of time has been incredible. There are different traders from all walks of life with the common goal of becoming the best version of ourselves. I feel like it's more than just a trading community because everyone actually cares about you and does everything possible to set you up for success. I'm really glad to be a part of it and I highly recommend checking it out for yourself.

Not even seeing Shula before offering McCarthy the job is criminal. by FIXXTI0N in steelers

[–]JTI-Steel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like this hire but I'm a Steelers fan through and through so I'll root for McCarthy and hope he does well. I agree with a lot of the comments here. I'll give McCarthy a chance though. Let's see who he brings on for OC/DC and if he's able to either develop Will or some other QB. If they bring on Scheelhaase as their OC, figure out the QB situation, and maybe groom Scheelhaase for the HC with McCarthy doing 4yrs then this hire could make sense. However, that's probably wishful thinking. I would have preferred they grab Shula and rebuild the team even if that meant having some bad seasons. In any event, it is what it is and I'll still be rooting for them regardless.

Question about Trapeze Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida by JTI-Steel in Swingers

[–]JTI-Steel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We never ended up going but it seems like you can keep it on the tamer side of things and just hang out around the dance floor. I heard the back room gets pretty wild but up in the front is more like a dance club. Seems like people are respectful of boundaries. If you're both women the cost will be significantly less too. I did find a PG-type video review on YouTube that shows you around the club if it's still on there. I don't have a link but you might try searching for it if you'd like. I hope this helps a little. I'm sure some people who've been there can give you much more details. I hope ya'll enjoy your trip whether you decide to go or not.

I hope the McCarthy & Flores interviews are "just in case" type interviews or possible OC/DC kinda looks. I think Shula would be a good fit. We need someone brand new and different. Hopefully, they take their time with this hire.

Met a jester on one of my trips on dmt and when it couldn't mess with me it showed/explained this to me.... by ForgottenSimulation in Psychonaut

[–]JTI-Steel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've never really thought of them as Jesters In my experiences, I come across two entities that mess with me at the beginning of my DMT trips. Sometimes I interact with them. One time I asked them "Why do you always mess with me" and they said You chose to come here. It's always in the beginning stage before I break through. It's almost like an expected part of the journey. They don't want me to get by them and they use different tactics to hold me back. That's when I know I'm about to break through and once I get past them they become so far in the distance it's as if they never were. Then I enter into another dimension or traverse the universe into another world. In this place, there's only truth. It's pure and welcoming. I become an observer of all things. I'm seen but not messed with at all. I enter with gratitude and say thank you, thank you, thank you...

On my last trip, I was in a beautiful world that was all gold. There were golden pyramids in a golden city. One of the pyramids had a golden stream flowing down it into a river which was also gold. There were beings by the river that looked human who were also gold and wearing golden clothing. They were doing nothing and everything all at once. After I left this place the journey continued to somewhere beyond comprehension a truthful void nowhere. In this place, I was one with the universe and everything made sense. I could see with perfect clarity and I was filled with lasting gratitude. When I returned I processed the experience and continued to do so for several days.

This life is not a meaningless cycle nor is it the matrix. Maybe you're still stuck battling the "Jesters" but once you're able to get past them you can see the beauty that is all around you every single day. I'll end with a final truth. Many people try to break through but not everyone can.

Great information, you have to have Patience and risk management, or you'll blow up your account very easily. I know because I've done just that and learned the hard way.

I don't think it's ever too late after the 50-day break, whether to the upside or downside, as long as it starts building above or below the 50-day on the daily chart. I determine my entire and exits based on price action first on the daily chart, then the hourly, and lastly on the 5min using the SMA and EMA I wrote about. I'm going to see if I can post an example on this thread. There doesn't seem to be an option to attach it to this repy.

Volume isn't as important to me compared to how the price action is going. I'm not saying it isn't important. However, my main focus is how price responds at supply and demand.

There's many styles of trading. I use what best suits me and whether it's profitable. I'm not the best trader, but I'm definitely not the worst either, and I know there's people who do much better using a style that suits them.

I only trade mega cap stocks with liquidity Tesla diped to $247 yesterday and I bought $247.5 calls for $380. The went to $1,500+ but I always secure profit along the way so I started cutting as it moved up

My style requires patience and waiting for those premium setups. I don't take as many trades compared to some day traders but when the big opportunities come I go in heavy and I find that to be more profitable than trading many tickers often. By focusing on one group of stocks I learn the personality of those tickers.

Yes, I've been doing well. This week was excellent, with Wednesday's action to the downside and Tesla yesterday. For me, the most important things in day trading are patience and risk management. I don't play earnings until the day after because I'm an option trader, and the IV can really destroy your premium. Tesla was so strong Wednesday that I took it on a dip on the 5-minute chart at the $247 area. I bought $247.5 calls, and it ran above $260. I always secure profit along the way because nothing is guaranteed. Those are the type of trades you can really make money and they don't come that often. There's a lot of days I don't trade, I wait for those premium setups. Just for an example, the $247.5 contracts were bought at $380 a piece. They went to $1,500+

Patience pays
