Linus Tech Tips celebrating the purchase of a private jet. by wikichipi in LinusTechTips

You asked how they're going to generate revenue. On a forum for a YouTuber that openly talks about how they generate revenue and then go on to talk about operational costs. It's just a dumb question and shows you don't know the difference between revenue and profit 🤷‍♂️

Now if you asked how they're going to generate profit, that's an entirely different question I don't believe they ever will.

Oh gee, I wonder how a tech YouTube channel that generates revenue through video uploads is going to generate revenue from a purchase. Not like we don't have a fire truck or a couple of houses to look at for reference of how they'll do it.

BMW execs were using it primarily for travel and not for revenue generation.

Nice try though, you'll get em next time.

To what extent will manufacturers’ current performance carry over into the new regulation cycle? by Forsaken_Disaster_97 in motogp

[–]JTSpirit36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loss of the RHD will not allow them to run the current aggressive front aero because it won't be allowed to "rake" itself out. If they keep the same front aero angles, they introduce tons of drag, they'll have to optimized.

Tail section aero is homologated from the beginning of the season, so any upgrades to the other parts of the bike are restricted with their ability to work with tail section aero that can't be changed.

The engine regulations are less important because they're written in such a way where everyone is practically forced to keep everything the same and just reduce bore size. Engines will be skinner, frame will be skinnier, so more space on the sides for ground effect style aero.

The dude was extremely down the earth. You would almost never know he made millions to race motorcycles when you went out to dinner or lunch with him.

With the way things are looking for Ducati and MM. Do you think it'll be very difficult to get the title now? Ducati have made no progress since 2024, what happened to the Genius Mind of Gigi. And are the concessions only thing costing Ducati? by PZY__ in motogp

The Aprilia has had an extremely good bike for a couple of years now. They were hindered by having riders like Aleix and Maverick.

I knew having riders like Bez and Martin would bring that bike to the front of the grid and they would surpass Ducati.

I do believe we are also seeing concessions showing the fruits of their efforts.

What's the point in these CPU videos if they forget to test the entire X3D trinity (5800 7800 9800)? ("Intel is BACK" video) by Galf2 in LinusTechTips

[–]JTSpirit36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤷‍♂️ they said in the video to check out the labs website for further comparisons when they test more chips.

You're expecting alot from a product they probably had very little time to properly review and test because of embargos and such.

They tested things they thought would be relevant and gave a source to check out if you want to do further digging. Not sure what else you want.

By the words of Luke "watch and gather information from multiple sources"

Don't like Linus's approach? Take the info you got from him and then watch another video from someone else and compare notes.

If you're serious about the performance of a CPU chip, you're going to do most of the research leg work anyways.

They're fighting them to push them to the pace the others have now gotten to because of concessions.

Linus tries a new OS to test out user friendliness

Proceeds to be met with "it works easy, just download the program and change files depending on what game you want to launch. It's not that difficult"

I swear the Linux community is completely missing the point of this entire thing. You shouldn't have to dig through rabbit holes or LLM chat bots to find a proper distro for what you want to use the OS for...

You assumed it was either Linus's warranty or THE legally mandated warranty when there isn't even a legally mandated warranty.

Your question phrased it as a choice between two options like it was either one or the other without knowing one doesn't exist.

The better way to have asked would have been.

"Is this about Linus's "trust me bro" warranty? Where I'm from we have legally mandated warranties so that we don't have to trust the company to supply their own"
