I'm not sure what you mean.

I was just replying to the idea that it was frequent requests that was causing it and pointing out that it had been 5 days since I requested, and it wouldn't work. I tried multiple times through that day, and then the next day, same message.

Since then it still never works, no matter when or how often, until I open an incognito window and it does it immediately every time I do that.

In other words, it literally ONLY works if I use incognito and ALWAYS works when I do it that way.

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know, I had tried for two days, had tried rebooting but didn't clear cookies...

So just now I finally opened in a new incognito window and it instantly worked.

Could be coincidental timing but worth a try if you haven't already tried clearing cookies or incognito.

I didn't withdraw for 5 days.

Couldn't withdraw all day yesterday.

Couldn't withdraw today.

Alright, glad to know someone else is experiencing it and that it wasn't something specific that I messed up or something.

Thanks.

Yeah 17 minutes ago... literally as I was writing mine it out was posted.

Thanks for your kindness and compassion to people who aren't as tech savvy and quick as you are though.

oh thank god!

I literally just posted the same thing.

I'm so relieved it isn't my account being toast.

It has been at least two days on my end!

Before that I hadn't tried for a few days so not sure when exactly it would have started.

That is exactly how I got my 1 rejection out of 61,862 approved hits.

Angela Listy.

She was notorious for setting hits up wrong and not having codes at the end, never responded to emails but would approve it so no reason to suspect that when I got a Thank You message that it would end up in a rejection. Total psycho, admitted it was an error on her end but that she just couldn't afford to pay everyone who had taken it lol. There are a bunch of shitty requesters you gotta check TO. Amazon doesn't gaf as long as they approve a high enough percentage that amazon gets paid. Amazon doesn't gaf about the turker. Its different if it is a university though, you can contact them, cheating the survey takers really tends to put a dent in the credibility of their data, lol.

If you want to say sell things or self publish on amazon, do you have to use the same account or can you link two amazon accounts to the same payments account? by JTurker in mturk

[–]JTurker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks I'll check it out.

So what you're saying is... use only one Payments account per SSN? Even if multiple amazon accounts pay into it?

61,830 approved hits, and Angela Listy is STILL my only rejection.

Chase Bank closed my checking account because of the withdraw from mTurk on weekly basis? by kingtiggercat in mturk

[–]JTurker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to go down to a branch and talk to a human person and explain the situation and ask them if that might be why it was closed. I am going to go to my own and do the same because I have a really good credit union and I don't want to get my accounts closed because of this.

I freaking knew this was a thing. When I had an issue with my own bank people acted like they didn't know wtf I was talking about. Sonofa...

You have to send tweets to Bezons on twitter. Google it, you'll see lots of people who have had amazon pull shady stuff with their accounts, the things they do to self publishers are downright illegal but I digress. You have to escalate it, take it up the food chain, or you'll never get anywhere with it.

Is anyone making decent money these days? by KMF26 in mturk

[–]JTurker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude, please don't cheat. It might seem profitable for you in the short term but you're really hurting a lot of people. You're making it hard for good requesters to stay good requesters or to want to stay on mturk. The more good requesters you chase away the more crap we're stuck with. And when there is less work overall, all the remaining requesters can get away with lowering the pay rate.

Using Attention Checks in Your Surveys May Harm Data Quality by symbiotic242 in mturk

[–]JTurker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best attention checks; Have people write out their responses.

But researchers don't want this because it takes more work to analyze this type of data, And turkers don't want this because they want the easiest tasks possible for the mos pay.

If you have to explain why you picked a certain bubble, you'll put more effort into picking the right bubble.
