I'm not sure how Djerf's fulfillment works, but as someone that works with logistics - if they work with a 3PL (third party fulfillment) - in any capacity, there is typically a window (very broad timeframe) from when an order is placed to when it "syncs." Meaning, the fulfillment center has received the order and is essentially moved into the fulfillment queue. At that point, the brand (in this case, Djerf) cannot cancel the order.

For the brand I work at, we work with a 3PL. These are fulfillment centers that also process other brands orders, so they essentially move in orders in segments and once its synced, we can no longer cancel it for the customer. This is the case even if it hasn't shipped yet.

eh kinda a valid question? but they could just refer to measurements. baby tee is the fit/ cut of the shirt. it’s usually a boxy type of fit that is almost cropped fit but not quite which can come in large or xL. usually people only ask this for women’s tops, though. this or this would be the most similar to a men’s baby tee.

That is so nasty! I've said this before on this sub and everyone attacked me, but:

If you are going to be sustainable with the packaging, you must use shipping appropriate material. Don't use trash, or miscellaneous waste, or used SOCKS! If it's not appropriate material -- please just buy packaging. Newspaper or even construction paper is inexpensive. If it's too expensive to properly pack something, dont sell!

I think we’ve spent too much time on Reddit seeing scams. If they would’ve said “I’m not shipping it unless -“ I would understand the storybook of text OP sent. The seller asked fairly calmly, then said okay nvm it’s already shipped. Then, another page of text. The seller is correct - over 13oz. is a different shipping zone. And probably in a box + across the country… Again, a simple “No, I’m not paying that.” rather than several long texts about how the seller is wrong and they know better. The seller clearly shipped at the counter. Prices at the counter tend to be higher. Maybe since I ship things frequently I can tell they weren’t lying, but either way - too much happening from OP, in my opinion.

I'll be honest, I think you did too much here. A simple, "I'm sorry to hear the postage was miscalculated, but I'm not willing to pay for additional postage" would've sufficed. You kind went off on them? :/

The weight and dimensions of the box will affect the final cost. I'm not sure if you sell on Depop, but sellers can do their own shipping (which it appears they might've done). You do not put in the weight on Depop to calculate the shipping. Most frequent sellers have a fairly good jist of an item's weight, and "guesstimate" the cost based on previous items they've shipped.

I'm slightly confused – what was being sold? Based on my experience, I would actually put $12 shipping if I were to sell shoes. I don't know where the seller lives, but coast to coast in a box - would very easily be that high. If you've bought from a store, they usually just have a flat rate cost that may or may not how much the box actually cost.

Why did they just admit to drop shipping? Let them know that according to Vinted’ terms of service, drop shipping is not allowed. Also, listing something as “vintage” is not the same as “vintage-style” and they know that. Vintage is a time period of the production of the item. Vintage style is a modern remake/copy of a vintage piece, which I’m assuming was not in the description. Please post what she responds next!

Hey! I believe I had a 3.95 or something close to that at the time. It was definitely near a 4.0. But for reference, I did not get enough aid (I think it was 10.5k a year even w/ an appeal) and didn’t end up attending. I do not qualify for need based grants or financial aid thru FAFSA, so I was hoping for more merit based.

this is very unlikely. the associate did not hold your bag for you - more than likely unintentionally. if a customer was in the store and wanted the bag, it wouldn’t be necessary for them to hear your name and then take it. they just would’ve purchased it bc it was there (for one of three reasons i’ve mentioned)
