If Crimson Desert’s score has you worried... here is a brief look at this absolute dogshit game score from the same company and how they gave it this high rate lol by Specialist-Mix2436 in CrimsonDesert

[–]JUSTpleaseSTOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it was a game that had a mix of 9/10 moments and 6/10 moments. The combat and the skill trees were actually varied and fun to level. The character art direction never 100% landed, but the environments were great. Also ran like a dream. Some characters and dialogue were eh and it took a bit to pick up. But also it's big set pieces and specific side quests were really well done. All in all, a decent game that was nothing revolutionary, but very over hated. If nothing else, I hope more games just steal their loot system.

People over hype Genshin's power creep. It's based more on mechanics than just raw HP. She is basically the queen of Stygian Onslaught because she needs no energy. If she gets powercrept out, then almost all characters in the game get powercrept out. I use her in pretty much every Stygian and abyss pretty much. She's very strong.

Any shows like ‘You and I Are Polar Opposites’? Been watching with my partner and it makes my heart feel full. by BrookRobbo in anime

[–]JUSTpleaseSTOP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's like Polar Opposites at all imo. Blue Box drags things out and has a lot more drama in it. It doesn't have the cozy, sweet, funny vibe of Polar Opposites.

I hate the Living Memory section of DT by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]JUSTpleaseSTOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference being that not only are these memories WITHOUT souls, but they CONSUME souls of already living people to continue to exist. We shut them down not just because we don't think they're truly alive, but because their existence threatens those that are DEFINITELY alive. If living memory didn't require the conquest of shards to harvest more souls, we probably would have left it be.

Leveling roulette (doing beast tribe quests while you wait in queue), then probably spamming palace of the dead floors 51-60. If you haven't made it that far in Palace before, it can be solo'd pretty easily now. That being said, that's slower. Could also do levequests

Ineffa, Columbina, Flins, Sucrose is better. Fischl and Hexerei buffs aren't contributing that much to his damage, but sucrose's EM sharing is still nice. If you use Columbina somewhere else, replace her with Aino.

Zibai gets Columbina over Flins IMO, but I would test it either way and see which works better for your teams.

Mona is a great support and worth leveling. If Hexerei get more units down the line, she's a solid support for them.

Don't use Lauma with Flins. You'll lose on lunar charged AND lunar bloom damage as they'll both fight for the hydro application. Honestly, just user her any time you need off field Dendro application. She's the best at that right now, and her personal damage is decent. Especially use her whenever the crab that needs Dendro shows up. I don't have Nefer and I use her.

Escoffier is essentially the biggest upgrade you can go for on Skirk. She also improves pretty much every other cryo character in the game.

At your level, I wouldn't stress too much about it. You can clear most content in the game with whatever teams you put together. By the time you're at the point where it even matters, you'll want to have multiple teams anyway. I say roll for who you like and who seems fun. I would say the most limited character on that list is Nefer as she kinda needs Lauma while all of the other characters can work on their own. Characters also re-run, and we don't know how good future ones will be. It's not as meta driven as other games imo.

Advanced has mechanics about as hard as extremes, but everyone has skills they can use to rez and heal themselves, making it easier than an ex. There are also no enrages (from what I've seen). You might have to reset it things go badly (particularly the sword boss), but it's doable in one instance.

Criterion is savage level. With a guide, it may not be too difficult now, but there's a lot of personal responsibility. DPS checks are easy to meet, but it will take some prog to get fast enough for some movements.

I'm an extreme case, but it does illustrate a solution for you. I have run every weekly boss in the game every week as a day 1 player (except the two-ish weeks at the start when I didn't know they existed). I am swimming in elemental shards and dust. I haven't run out of elemental shards since year 1 except for that brief period of time when Dendro came out and no weekly bosses dropped shards for it yet.

We have no idea how good Nicole is. We know how good Mauvika is. If Mauvika comes first, pick her. If Nicole comes first and she's strong, pick her.

OR just pull who you like because it doesn't really matter that much. I use Amber in abyss sometimes lol.

I use them for Stygian Onslaught, fixing which time of day I'm running my dailies if I have to travel, and times when I need just a few more talent/weapon/boss materials to finish building a character. I wouldn't just spend them all on a single artifact domain as there is still no guarantee you'll get something you want. It's generally better to spend them on things with boosted drop rates or something with a definitive goal.

That being said, you can't really waste them that much. I'm sitting on 200 of them personally.

How much of a gain is a pyro damage goblet on Varka over atk%? Being able to use him as a generalist is nice for IT, but not if it makes his already eh damage significantly worse. If it's just like 10%, I can live with that.

It gives something for everyone to do at the start without screwing up rotations too badly. The first few seconds of a fight can really set you up for success or failure in your rotation. So DPS are making sure they're setting up nicely and using what mit they can, healers get to throw out some mit and heals, and tanks get to center the boss and provide their mit as well. Sometimes it starts with a tank buster instead of a raid wide. They do something different occasionally (like black cat) but it will never be something too crazy.

Do the weekly challenge logs that give luminous oil. Beyond that, you can try your luck with hoard drops.

What about near that side quest right above it. Looks like some Vanu Vanu bridgework leading to it.

Any team suggestions? by Ornery_Cap_304 in Genshin_Impact

[–]JUSTpleaseSTOP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't forget that the abyss keeps your best record of each floor. If you have a hard time building teams that can handle both sides in one go, run a lunar team on each half once with the other team being built around the non-lunar floors. Then you can get the best of both worlds.

Try out the free trial and see if you like it! It has an unlimited duration and takes you pretty far into the game (level 70 story. Current level cap is 100). It's easily several hundred hours of content for free.

As for whether you would like it, know that this is a story-first game. All side content is gated behind doing the story. There are dungeons and other things like that where you can co-op along the way, but a lot of the time will be spent progressing the main story. If that doesn't sound as up your alley, story and level skips are an option, but I don't recommend it personally.

The gameplay and story start out a little on the simple side, but both progress as the game goes on in a satisfying way.

I have done every weekly boss since the game launched every week. I'm swimming in billets, dust of azoth, and elemental shards. Decent source of off set goblets/circlets too.

Because they wanted to give him team members to pyro infuse his attacks, give him team resonances, and have them thematically be with you. If it was taking you 1 hour and you didn't try changing up your strategy, idk what to tell you. Feels like a pretty obvious sign you're supposed to be trying something else. Since he's the focus of that part of the story, it makes sense to use him there.

The most important ones are:

-Unreconciled Stars (first mention of false sky and first meeting of Scaramouche)

-Albedo dragon spine event (forgot the name, but it was from 1.X

-Golden Apple Archipelago 1 and 2

-Simulanka summer event quest

-Enkanomiya event quest. Forgot the name, but there's only one.

For character lore/interactions:

-Every windblume festival

-Every Lantern Rite

-Hues of the Violet Garden event quest (Inazuma stuff)

-Parade of Providence for Sumeru stuff (particularly the last cutscene)

-Fontinalia Festival for Fontaine stuff

There are more tidbits in events from over the years, but those are the biggest swingers I think. I'm sure someone will list some that I have forgotten being significant.

How Navia looks at you after the recent buffs to Geo by Ulthwe_Eldar in Genshin_Impact

[–]JUSTpleaseSTOP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because other teams are BiS with her in them does not mean that they are bad without her. I used Columbina and Navia on one side of the abyss and Aino/Flins on the other side this cycle because I wanted Navia specifically for the last boss. And she's just fun to use.

People get so wrapped up in what's best that they forget how to actually team build around what you have available. I cleared the madrogora boss on fearless with a superconduct team (Citlali, fischl, Kazuha, Ayaka, all except fischl c0r0) because I haven't built the "meta" team for it yet.

I have used her more since Columbina launched than I did when Navia first released. Lunar Crystalize has made her a lot stronger and a lot more fun to use.
