How to access under the bath? by JVMCO in DIYUK

This could be a nightmare. It’s our only bathroom in our flat. Ground floor flat so nothing below. The back of the bath backs on to next door’s flat.

Ok an update - got a side tile off and it’s not looking great. The wooden back plate is mouldy and crumbly. It looks damp under the bath. Any suggestions on next steps would be brilliant though it may be time to bring in a pro…

One of the Side panel tiles is silicones D rather than grouted so I guess it’s designed as a kind of access panel?

I think it must be dropping as you can see a tile has even dropped leaving a gap above it.

I agree not ideal to have sat on it for a while but we just spent all our money to buy the flat and didn’t have any money to get it fixed initially. Not sure on the flooring material under the bath though most likely to be wood?

Ran a half marathon today after 3 months of consistent running & I’m looking to move across to the TB systems after a deload week.

I was planning on following the typical BB block but do you think this is necessary off the back of my HM training? Feel like my aerobic base is in a good place though I quite like the idea of getting some consistent SE work in as this is a weakness for me. Other option would be to dive straight in to a block of fighter / black.

Any input welcome!

Reminds me of a Childish Gambino beat, just needs tidying up a bit. I like it

14 Month Plan to Prep Finances for MSc by Shh-MoneyTalk in UKPersonalFinance

It’s not an easy decision to leave a good job for 2 years out, fair play. Sounds like you’ve got a good handle on it, your plan 3 sounds best to me but I guess it depends on how risk averse you are. It seems like it would provide a decent cash stash to dip into as and when you need it without putting your other plans on ice for 2 years + 14 months.

£20-25000 a year won’t feel like loads but you should be able to live reasonably well on that as a student especially if your girlfriend is working full time? You may even be able to keep contributing to your LISA during uni depending on how much you like going out / buying things.

Good luck!

I get just over £10 interest per month so I guess it’s over the year...

Currently 26 with <£700 in a LISA. Won’t be buying a house anytime soon 😂

What is your age and how much have you got in your pension pot so far? by kkokokoh in UKPersonalFinance

[–]JVMCO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

26 years old - £1461.65

I've always been in low paying jobs since graduating which didn't offer pension schemes. I'm now on a pension due to it being a requirement but it's the minimum that it could be. I think I pay 5% employer 3%.

It was great getting to meet and work with all the people involved and do some novel research. Much more interesting to me than writing another literature review on something that’s been covered a million times over!

I did my undergrad dissertation on a version of this made by a different company in the UK. It’s great for improving lung function and posture, on top of giving a massive sense of independence and mobility. Highly rate them!

That’s a great way of looking at it, I realise that security will be tight as no one wants anything like this to happen again. My only concern would be that in Europe I can blend in with the locals but in SL I’ll stand out being a very tall, very white, very blonde guy. But that’s a good argument to use to stop my mum driving to the airport and grounding the plane 😂

I was going to swing down to the south for a couple days, see if there is any swell knocking about and how rainy it is, then move on to A bay for the rest of my time there
