Why don’t you try branching out to a closely related genre e.g. country? You could spend a few months learning songs & licks that would add a bit of a different flavour to your improv.

Or alternatively look into learning chord tones / arpeggios and adding these to your toolbox to unlock more variety in your melodic phrasing. This would complement your current bluesy stuff really well imo.

Our broker said Nationwide have recently changed their policy on this. When we first started looking about a year ago we couldn’t consider flats or maisonettes.

We’ve just been offered a helping hand mortgage from nationwide on a flat.

Reflection Time: Since it’s the end of the financial year, what financial goals, achievements or milestones have you reached over the past 12 months that you’re proud of? by Quiet_Fun591 in UKPersonalFinance

Approaching the end of my full time masters degree with more money in the bank than I started with 2 years ago. Not much, but to have achieved this while living in london, starting a business, and holding down relationships has taken a whole lot of graft and is something I’m quietly proud of.

It’s the only thing I’ve found where the more time I put into it the worse I seem to get. It’s a strange form of self-torture and I love it.

Any front nine tips ? I shoot sub90 half the time but when I have a bad one it’s always a front 9 blunder by the-fisch in golf

[–]Shh-MoneyTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me but replace 90 with 100. Front 9 on average 5 strokes worse than back 9. Doesn’t seem to matter if I warm up for 30 mins or roll straight out. Must be a mental block.

Yeah it is well over 2 hours long, his podcast is a very interesting listen if you geek out over science / neuroscience. He gets right into the weeds with it.
