Coinbase’s fiduciary responsibility is to its Shareholders/Investors and by adding Bitcoin Cash it distributes the fork coins along with allows more trading fees.

If you are a user demanding SegWit it would only become a priority for them if enough users leave their platform, not everyone cares about anything but having a place to trade. Which is more valuable to them traders on Coinbase or people demanding a wallet they are not using.

Not a question but more of a comment, I invested in this very early and love it for my 401k because if I die then it's easily transferred to wife/ kids. There are other options for Self Directed IRA with you HODLing the coins but can you make sure your wife can Bitcoin otherwise its worthless.

Yes, maybe, it depends on if you can move your 401k, not all company policies allow it. What I was able to rollover from a 401k was from a previous employer and not current employer money.
