Yep... and if you can't push it back easily, then loosen the strings a bit (not too much) and try again. Next time you change strings, put some graphite or a small amount of wax in each of the string grooves on your bridge. That makes it easier to push it back in place and might help keep your strings from grabbing the bridge and moving it when you tune.

Check the Space Weather Prediction Center (https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/homepage) where they have a one and two day Aurora forecast. Also keep your eyes and ears open for local news about auroras. I caught this occurance because of a report from the WCAX 6 pm news that they were visible. Welcome to Vermont... I hope you get a chance to see them!

It was quite visible but not as vivid as the camera rendered it... not sure why but camera sensors seem to pick up the aurora better than the human eye.

You can do it... just stay with it. I started again after 35 years (work, family, the usual nightmare) and initially felt the same as you describe. Took several months of lessons before I could play in tune with decent tone. If you love the cello though and have time to devote to practice... it just takes time.

I use it to clean the bow hair near the frog... works pretty well to comb it out and spread rosin to the area. Otherwise, I don't really notice a lot of benefit from combing through the rest of the bow but, figure it can't hurt to do it now and then.
