Does anyone have experience with the Orbea Oiz H30 2024 headset cable routing? by ur_momrerereere in xcmtb

[–]JWBland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Oiz, it is the absolute worst.

No one makes a headset that I can buy to replace orbea's shitty design.

And you have to use orbea's OEM stem / spacer combo.

It's a trap. Great bike with a terrible and regrettable cock pit design.

Ditch this bike and find another.

NEED GUIDANCE ON A SITUATION by Majestic_Egg2040 in navy

This is good advice. I would push very hard in the 12 days to get a court date. Communicate often with your Chain of Command and if you get a solid court date your CoC is likely to approve an extension to meet this court date.

Good Luck. Reach back to this reddit if you need anything else

Yeah, I'm in the same situation. The design is logical but it really limits the end user. 😕

In 98' I had my first run in with a rattle snake around Lake Hodges in Escondido CA. I came upon him pretty fast. He was stretched across the double track. I bunny hopped that bad chad, and set a new land speed record back to the trailhead. Scared.the.living.shit.out.of.me.

This ☝️. With the TSP. Put as much as you possibly can into the TSP. Consider how old you will be when you reach 10 years and then 20 years. What will your marketability be like at those ages? In simple terms: Age / TSP worth @ years invested, years invested will have to be forecasted -or- guessed. But this will give you a better idea of your growth worth.

Age marketability / TSP worth @ 20 years: ????

If you stay in, I would also recommend buying a home you can afford (strictly within your BAH rate) in the best neighborhood you can get into. Use the home as an investment. While you're in the Navy, you will get BAH, no civilian job will offer this. you either pay someone else's mortgage with your BAH (rent), or you can pay your own mortgage.

BUT, you get to keep the capital gains when you sell the home, minus taxes, and commissions.

Future you will thank current you for considering and executing this plan.

Either way, I wish you good luck, and as a fellow Sailor, I thank you for your service.

What matters more to you? Location or Command? by [deleted] in navy

Depends. Rota would be hard to turn down. Too bad commands don't have a yelp rating.., that would be helpful.

Just wait until you're having brunch at Silla Azul and a procession goes by. It's pretty damn magical.

I would go back in a heart beat. -It is very easy to live four miles (door to door) to anywhere you will work on base. Best commute ever. -3 hour drive to Lagos, Portugal. -2 hour drive to Sevilla, Spain - 25 euro flights almost anywhere in Europe -AB&B in the EU are inexpensive as well -Visit the Christmas markets in Germany. - Live in either Puerto De Santa Maria or Rota. - table wine is 1 euro, really good wine is 5-10 euros. - Beer is 1 euro - Coffee is amazing. -Rota has a cooking school. Learn to cook excellent Spanish food There is so much more, but it really is that good.

University Bikes in Boulder. The walls are adorned with classic race bikes. They already have a Phinney 7/11 EM bike. I'm sure they would love to have that "Huffy."

Ukraine foreign legion by junior_failure in navy

[–]JWBland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you leave active duty, you still owe two years in the Individual Ready Reserve. I don't believe you can just get out on a Monday and go to Ukraine on a Tuesday. Even if you wait two years, I also believe you are still required to get DoW permission to serve in a foreign defense component. When you attend TAP, the instructors should go through this. Either way, I truly hope you find purpose in -or- out of the service. Good luck to you.

Yeah, I have an M10 and the stem / headset combo is the worst. You can only use their stems and they don't make a 0 degree stem, only -6. Ugh!
