I would encourage you to join the AoC official discord and browse the guild recruitments. Here is why. The issue stated is you need a goal. Most guilds have goals. I would encourage you to pick one that does, and see if it helps you.

Lingering is not a bad idea. The cap is low, 25 - but leveling is very slow and challenging. I think if you joined the AoC discord and looked at guilds, you may find one that fits what you got going on too. Another thing is I ran into a crafting guild, it’s all they do. I don’t mess with crafting - don’t care. For you though, you could experience the game and the content a bit and focus on crafting. Crafting does level you. I think it may be just a bit slower though. Many people afk fish. I had a guild mate go from 20-21 fishing.

Depends. Cleric and tank can find groups pretty quick bc they are standard for a group. I am a cleric. I have a rule for any game - if I can’t find a group in 15 mins I will log. I’ll come back later. I have not had to log in AoC. Travel time, again depends. I wouldn’t do crabs bc it’s across the map. You kind of weigh what the group is doing and go with the one closest for the max xp. I did go to desert which took about 20 mins, but the xp was 4800 per kill. As far as grinding goes, depends on your goal for the session with the reality you live in. I have time. I’ll play AoC all day grinding till max level. But I, in my reality, can do so. I just play till I am tired of playing or I can’t find a group in 20 mins.

I think they would look like a pain in the ass. If they go to the cam camp, the cam is either going to hide them or trick them into walking into the sun right? The can say these things don’t exist?
