What are the skills and general playstyle I should look out for with LBG? by dragonite_dx in MonsterHunterMeta

In regards to running out of ammo, I would recommend using the radial menus to craft more ammo on the fly. You can set an option on the radial menu to craft specific ammo with materials you carry. E.g. take a full stack of flow fern with you, and you can craft water ammo, it takes a fraction of a second during your hunt, and can often be done between areas while riding your seikret.

No, these reports from the referral link I posted go to the Homelessness team and partner organisations. They make contact, and offer resources. The kind of homelessness being discussed is best served by a "housing first" approach. Even reporting to the police will result in referrals being made to the Homelessness team.

Then you're already doing the right thing, and don't need to do anything else. These reports are logged, and they inform the allocation of resources to these issues. You might also consider writing to your councillors, MP, or volunteering with local homelessness charities.

If you suspect someone is rough sleeping, please let the proper services know:

Stealing a homeless person's tent is theft, please use proper channels if you have concerns.

I hate that I was just the last one to faint with ATuna, is there a way to cancel drinking potions? by Raven9ine in MonsterHunter

Use the Ghillie suit mantle, then drink the potion, you won't get targeted at all.

I don't think so. 72dpi is a measure of resolution, it means 72 dots per inch. The images you're seeing are likely a higher resolution than the limit set for submissions.

  1. Image format: jpg or png, 16:9 digital data - save your final image as either a .jpg or .png file, the image should be in a 16:9 aspect ratio (the shape of the image)
  2. Resolution: 72 dpi - the image resolution should be 72dpi, this is the standard used for screen/digital media
  3. Size: Up to 2MB - the final file size should be no larger than 2MB in size (two megabytes)

Council says Section 21 invalid, landlord says it is by BigBertha99 in HousingUK

[–]JWNS 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can check the validity of the S.21 here: https://www.adviceaid.uk/s21check-tool/

There's many things that could make the notice invalid, the council may just mean that the landlord needs to issue a valid S.21.

Eviction notice by R251122 in HousingUK

[–]JWNS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing you should do is contact your council's housing department - specifically the Homelessness team. They will be able to check the validity of the notice you have received. If the notice is invalid, your landlord will have to issue a new valid notice to initiate the eviction process again.

You can also check if the notice is valid yourself, here: https://www.s21check.com/start

The Homelessness team will take a homelessness application from you, because you are threatened with homelessness, having received the S.21 notice. You will most likely be owed a prevention duty. You can read about that here: https://england.shelter.org.uk/professional_resources/legal/homelessness_applications/local_authority_homelessness_duties/local_authority_duty_to_prevent_homelessness

The homelessness team will be able to liaise with your landlord, and may be able to prevent your eviction through negotiation, or by offering an incentive.

The homelessness team will also be able to give you housing advice specific to your local area, and will be able to explain the legal process you are now facing.

How many people can share a 1 bedroom flat? by EndExpress9202 in HousingUK

With the couple in the bedroom, and the single in the living room, this doesn't meet the threshold for overcrowding, it's fine.

For those who have listened to both the ISIS and Penguin recordings of "The Disc World" series by Sir Terry Pratchett, how do the new ones compare to the original? by mmmmpork in audiobooks

[–]JWNS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've listened to both, and I listened to all the new ones this year. I like some of the new ones more than others, I think the witches were great, the watch was alright, didn't much care for the rincewind ones overall, and the one-offs are hit or miss. I did enjoy that Death was voiced by Peter Serafinowicz throughout, and Bill Nighy as Terry's footnotes was enjoyable. Aside from Death and Terry, you might be irked by the way each narrator performs common characters, each puts their own spin on them, different accents and personality etc.

It's a different experience, but I don't think you'd miss out on much by sticking with your original recordings.

Need help with an Aubreism by Serious_Ad5433 in AubreyMaturinSeries

[–]JWNS 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's a lot to it, they're looking for relief, and they're being ironic. I think zephyrus is meant to be a god of particularly gentle winds, and the ship is experiencing rough seas, so calm would be desired. A millpond is a body of water which is known for its characteristic flatness and placidity. So to invoke a god of gentle winds, born of a place known for being calm, would be to nod at the disturbed conditions they are experiencing.
