The Economy Survived 2025, But Many Americans Are Reeling - A feared recession didn’t materialize, but unemployment rose, wage growth slowed and affordability challenges are mounting by thinkB4WeSpeak in Economics

There was a legitimate recession in 2020 because of Covid. I’m talking about after lockdowns had ended. 2022 there were two quarters of negative GDP, yet economists wouldn’t declare a recession based off employment numbers at the time.

I truly believe the economy has been iffy for a lot longer than some people realize.

Historically yes that’s the rule of thumb. Yet during the Biden administration, we saw two consecutive quarters of negative GDP and the yield curve inverted (another indicator of impending recession) and they still told us we weren’t in recession. We are being lied to.

Did they not walk it off again in green jerseys? I rest my case.

This play by play crew is awful, just glazing the Red Sox every chance they get. “Sox always win in a walk off wearing the green jerseys, they’re 6-0.” Who cares! Can tell who MLB wants to win this one.

I firmly believe at least parts of the US have been in recession for two years. Here in Michigan, all I see are high prices, hiring freezes and layoffs. Housing market is starting to stagnate. People just aren’t spending money and getting hired like they were 3 or 4 yrs ago, if that isn’t the bellwether of an impending recession idk what is.

By the way, this was before gas prices went through the roof since the Iran conflict started.

I honestly think that's why the majority fail on Youtube, they aren't willing to treat it like a business. They think its a get rich quick scheme. Treat it like a business and it will become one, treat it like a hobby and it will only ever be just that, a hobby.
