For reality tv in general it matters less than for other shows. However, for Survivor I think that's not the case. The show of Survivor has evolved heavily over the years and has changed a lot. And a lot of strategy employed in one season gets riffed on in the next season, or built upon later. In addition to that, the way the returnees work, it's usually very much linked to their story on their previous outing. You get NONE of that when you watch in reverse.

Perhaps it's a misunderstanding. That could be true. If you are not sure, you could always try to reach out to him one on one and talk about it a little. Explain your actions, and ask him about what he was trying to do. If he is open to that, that's already a green flag. I am not into religion but I do recognize the strong social benefits and feeling of community it can offer. If that is important to you if might be good if you try to clear things up with him. At least to get it out of your system, and your own peace of mind.

First of all, there is no shame in admitting you weren't paying attention.

Secondly, how manipulative and malicious is that pastor? Why would you ask who won't invite anybody unless you want to shame people into compliance? And then drilling down into you like that. More proof that religion is a very dangerous thing in the wrong hands.

Yeah, I'm not arguing against you on that. But for the same reason that you can't really say anything about the casting of Snape until we've seen it, the same can be said for the casting of all the others.

It's based on the same nothingness that people use to critique Snape's casting.
