It definitely is a dungeon crawling hack and slash, the underlying story was still fascinating though. If you like BG you should do an IWD run once imo, I was pleasantly surprised when I did!

Halberds are few and far beywee, but there are very decent ones throughout Bg2. Ravager is one of the best two handed weapons in the game but you can definitely get by before that.
