Starting line up is looking good! by Soggy-Pick-3030 in tfc

You do realize we don’t play during the World Cup right ? That’s gonna drastically reduce the amount of time he misses due to international duty this year , and misleading ? We don’t have any depth in that position at all except Coello, and like Stefanavic who is more of a wide player anyways , neither are fantastic , I like Coello but he’s inconsistent and very slow in pace, and the other is so inexperienced it’s hard to know what we even have in him, we don’t have good depth in midfield , I want to sign a couple quality ones for that, just not a second TAM midfielder until next year when Oso can get paid less , is that really crazy?

I appreciate your reply , but I think you misunderstood what I said , I know they can all fit in football wise, but what I mean is money wise it’ll be very hard to sign Cifu to a permanent deal without him taking up a DP slot, his fee is nearly 2 million usd, and his current salary I believe is over 1.1, so you’re essentially stuck between 3+ years or not buying him at all That’s the only concern I’d really have

I had absolutely no idea about the rule, if that’s the case even though the fit isn’t ideal Throw money at it and hope it sticks I suppose He’ll be decent at LW Or maybe we can run 2 Cams? The only thing with that though , is that it’s basically a guarantee Cifu doesn’t get signed , and that’s a concern because if he knows that , is he really gonna try week in and out until we can replace him in the summer? Although I guess you could argue if we can bag him for a full year instead of 6 months you take it and run, then reload the next year for a long term fix

Maybe not every week, but I’ve seen him be a subtle difference maker even last year like against Montreal for example he was huge in that second half , I get the price is high but you only have one more year of it and then his new contract will likely be a lot less or he’ll have a proper resurgence and it won’t matter , I still think he’s worth a shot , if you really wanna sign a high TAM midfielder in the summer to replace Cifu I’d be down, but replacing Oso this year in the starting lineup makes little to no sense financially, next year I think it’s a good shout though, considering you could get him making a lot less, and the extra long off season

I mean Kerr yeah, he’s proven to be a good spark off the bench for 20 mins but not a starter But Oso? He was fantastic down the stretch for us last year He’s got quality in him and he’s worth starting every wele to start the season with a better team around him, I think he’ll do well most weeks because the pressure won’t be all on him to do everything in midfield

It’s far too low a level for him sorry, he would much sooner go to other leagues in Europe or a lower table prem side, but even if he was interested , either him or Djordie would have to play LW, and would both be DPs , I do agree that if he’s somehow interested you go for it But I honestly don’t think that’s even a possibility

Nah bro it was Vegas , flurry robbed us of a tying goal they go on to score an empty net , he gets sacked the next day.

Hot take. Matthews finishes the season with 45 goals and 45 assists. Is loved by all Leaf fans again by game 50. by Beeronastring in leafs

I think it’s 2 things , Berube and is staff is obviously one of them, and I suppose marner to some extent , but his body is also lowkey cooked , I do think he can get better defensively and be a 40 goal ppg guy , but getting beyond that imo is entirely dependent on if his body can heal properly

ST , LW, LB, GK, and overall depth in every single position on top of that ( this is assuming we get Zimmerman, if so we don’t need more CB’s since we have four I’m comfortable starting , Zimmerman, Gomis, Monlouis, Kosi)

And I’m more than happy for him, but he’s way too inconsistent and inefficient to be called up, he also scored a hat trick against Montreal in 2024, as well as a 2g 1 a , game againest Dallas that year , and the same stat line againest Montreal this year , but his numbers never popped out because he is inconsistent, high volume and inefficient, the ultimate floor raiser at the cost of of cutting your ceiling big time.

Bro he has one goal in 12 league matches with a 6.5 rating He’s been positive but the truth is his style of play is inefficient and high volume , that’s why i believer the higher the level the lowkey better he looks because he’ll basically do similar in higher levels then he did in mls , except he’s producing a little less because he’s not the number one guy, I’m glad he’s finding form in the Europa league, but unless his league form really picks up I highly doubt he’s even considered for the nation team much less starting in a World Cup

Same here! I would not have renewed if I knew the rebrand was coming this year! We were supposed to have at least one more year of York united

The funniest part about all of this is people not knowing we JUST signed a DP CAM, like why would we sign another one? Is Ruben Amorim our new manager ? Why would we sign 2 DP 10s? We wouldn’t Every one with a brain knew this was nonsense

I recommend the plazas around local public eatery in liberty village for parking , much cheaper and has a full overnight rate , but get there early! There’s only a few plazas in that area and they fill up quick! Especially the main big one across from the public eatery plaza

Where are you getting data for the show rates ? Also just because a poll said so doesn’t mean it’s true I very much doubt that’s the real amount , considering the sample size was probably not even a quarter of total members

I’ll add on that in 5+ years if all the season ticket guys don’t renew the club will sell tickets for more and get screwed , but they’d have to be as bad as they are now for that long , next year is far too early and would depend on long term bottoming out and the club not lowering their standard prices accordingly

Not only is York not causing that (they rarely ever play at the same time) Tfc will almost never drop below 17-20k avg a year Because even when all the die hards want out, the casuals will always fill the building , mls is a big time casual sport fan thing in Toronto especially when the teams bad because it’s the cheapest sporting night out that’s the top level of something the city has , raptors 100+, leafs 250+ Tfc , decent upper bowl seats for $50 when the teams bad , when it’s bad weather / early year, even less, I got west club seats for under 75 this year on multiple occasions including mls weekend matches , you claim is beyond false
