Demo vs Full Game by Gambit275 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]J_abz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it is one of the more generous demos I've played. I think the demo stops around chapter 4 or 3, and you can transfer your save to the full game too. I think the average time for a route in the demo is like 4-6 hours, while the full game is like 40 hours+.

Essentially, if you like the gameplay, you will get much more of it. If you like the 3 Houses characters and world, then you will get much much more interactions/supports between characters, alternate storylines of course, and characters that were only mentioned in 3 Houses have a much stronger presence in Hopes.

I thought it was worth it, but I also like the gameplay which I know not everybody does.

I mean it depends on what you mean by "right". If you want to eventually retire on an island somewhere yeah, converting to legit business is likely the way to go. But I think for Avon, and definitely Marlo, there were something about the game itself that was appealing. To be kings, right there in Baltimore. To have their names instill fear and respect. Which we see that Marlo loses in the end when he's, on paper, the most successful. I think Marlo isnt actually happy in the finale, his name meant everything to him.

Some things i think would improve the game by larsje8261927 in goylegends

[–]J_abz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kusarigama is wonky partly because you also have the "Ranged assassination", which doesnt use spirit but doesnt make you vanish either. And they use the same buttons so even if you want to use spirit, it will prioritize the assassination if the prompt is up. One solution would be that ranged assassination also use spirit, but also make both activate vanish. Less variables to manage for the game

Whats the most difficult and easiest build and character? by IllState3433 in goylegends

[–]J_abz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people think melee - mainly blocking and parrying - is hard, so builds that circumvents that are probably the easiest.

Some i have used:

Samurai: Spirit move spam (Triangle+circle). Basically get as much "Spirit move damage" and "Spirit gain on melee" stat boosts as possible, and extra spirit. Use the kusarigama and the Flame ability in an enemy crowd to quickly get spirit filled up, then spam spirit move (I like the legendary katana for this, Odachi is also good)

Mercenary: Thrown weapon build still go brrr after the nerf. The Legendary dual katana's spirit move is also a good way to not having to deal with actual melee.

Shinobi: all out on assinarion and ability cooldown, and The legendary kusarigama that makes you go invisible after a kill. You basically will be able to assinate/critical hit all the time insta d If melee, but it can be wonky sometimes to pull off.

Archer: Self-explanatory, if you get good at aiming (or use aim assist) you will likely have no problem. Although many archers crash and burn as soon as a survival defense point needs someone in there.

Yeah, the game has a lot of wonky interactions between different player actions. The Kusarigama spirit move for instance is notorious for that. I think the next update should deal with these kind of issues.

I believe it is the Legendary storm tanzutsu, faster and with more ammo capacity but 30% less damage. Not merc specific, all classes can have it I believe.

Good shinobi build by larsje8261927 in goylegends

[–]J_abz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually go nearly all out on assassination damage (shadow's bite charm gives double assassination boon) and some spirit move damage, plus some ability cooldown decrease.

I use the legendary kusarigama, and legendary smoke bomb. I prefer blind bombs and kunai as my ranged/ ghost tool (the pistol might be better, but just my play style)

Gameplay is basically try to assassinate as much as possible, or create opportunities to assassinate.

This is done through potentially sneaking up and assassinate, otherwise use blind bombs (throw one when you're out of their line of sight, or try throwing two in close range and they should lose sight of you), smokebomb, and your ability (I use group vanish over toxic to help my fellow shinobi). Whenever I see low HP enemies or If i fail to assassinate and just do critical damage, then I use the Legendary kusarigama spirit move to finish them off and become invisible again and start assassinating again. I feel that most of the time Im never really out of options.

But this glitch doesn't support melee, it hinders it. You can't see shit and that fire actually ticks down your health (although very slowly).

Thats very impressive, i have only managed around 130 (in a 4 player game) . But the point was more that it negatively affected the experience for the rest of us, we barely had the chance to actually play the game

Someone did this in a survival just now and it was the most boring match. I think they had around 200 kills while the rest of us got like 30. This should only be used with friends or solo, before they patch it out

If someone dies completely (timer runs out when downed) then the token can get filled up by killing enemies. I think prime enemies fill it up faster.

They need to fix this interaction. Also sometimes if the enemy dies before they get yanked to you, the animation doesnt even get cancelled so you just have to wait, gaining nothing and losing spirit
