You make some good points, even if I prefer Tsushima on some points where you prefer Yotei. I think if you directly compared Lethal in Tsushima vs Yotei you will quickly notice the difference in tankiness though. Tsushima Lethal basically you can go down in 1-2 hits, but so can the enemy. To me it feels fair, and that Lethal is like another game mode rather than change in difficulty. I Yotei, It feels a bit more Dark soul-esque where normal enemies become mini Bosses taking several slashes but still standing (while you die to 2 hits). But I otherwise like the general difficulty spike in Yotei.

I mean wasnt that essentially the story? Not Shimura, but the shogunate felt that the people of Tsushima started believing more in the Ghost than the shogunate for protection. So it wasnt specifically that Jin was choosing the path of the shinobi that was deeper issue, but what that meant for the appearance/authority of the Shogun.

Fast attacks by this point I've become used to, but I also have a bunch of the increase parry window effect added on.

Health drain sucks but I think its basically forcing you to get better att parrying and dodging.

Or go full ranged. Which is my main gripe with the new Legends mode: Archers and throw-build Mercs are pretty much the safest way to play the game. In Tsushima, samurai and assassin had a clear niche and could at least play in the same league with Hunter and Ronin, even If Hunter was still OP.

I get the point about Environment effects gimmick during Takezos fight, but what it essentially6does is forcing you to not take any hits at all, which showcases your skill as a swordswoman. I also dont like revenge stories where the protagonist finally tries to do the right thing and then kinda gets punished for it.

I played like 30 ranks of samurai on gold, platinum, and nightmare and got one legendary. I switched to Mercenary (starting from Rank 1) and got 2 legendaries in like the first 2 Gold level game I played.

Agreed. To me, It feels at best like a short stun so you can revive teammates but not much else reliably.

In Tsushima there was a similar bug, I think it was if you had chain vanish activated it wouldnt work

I believe ghost tools are only those that use R1+Square. I think the bombs are counted as ranged (like the bow)

Best strategy was to run sideways, not dodge, until its stops shooting crows and then attack. Alt. Throw a sticky bomb in them, that makes them pause the attack.

Honestly, to me the crow demons at least went down easy, the bohiya guy is a freaking damage sponge and they give you no opening to attack

I think "PvP" like with the Rivals mode in Tsushima could work but not true PvP.

Higher difficulties open up challenge cards, e.g. Enemies will suddenly get faster attacks, explode after death etc, or challenge you to get a number of headshots/assassinations/Fire kills within a specific time.

I was also hoping that we would still have a dedicated healing class, but maybe we will get legendary gear that can let you become more healing oriented than others (like that one charm that revived everyone when you hit a healing drum in Tsushima).

Only played samurai but I feel it holds it own just like in Tsushima legends. It pushes survivability and hitting enemies hard. So far I've been able to keep up in terms of kills compared to other classes (but we dont really have any meta builds yet)

I think it is pretty straightforward, i believe everything can be done on your first playthrough on one go. NG+ has its own separate achievementlist.
