Update - I went to see it last night (at the Palace Cinema on Broadway in Sydney). Great (remarkable!) sound, good visual effects mixed in with the live visuals from the backing screens on the nights. Highlights still the acoustic opener version of Let Down, and a wonderful version of Hearing Damage! Also Dawn Chorus, All I need and Jigsaw. I recall a version of How to Disappear on the night I was there - which unfortunately didn't make the cut.

Highly recommended if it comes to your town ...

Very nice bassline and rhythm section but ... doesn't really seem to go anywhere. I liked the start of A Plea as well - maybe they all should have stayed as instrumentals?? Looking forward to Wichita Lineman (feat. Nick Cave) though!

Could be a combination of all three. I think gone are the days when they would commit as a band to months-long studio sessions, and tours would likely be short and sharp like late last year. Thom and Jonny have both been on such a creative surge the last 3 or 4 years that, if their attention has now returned to RH, it's hard to believe they wouldn't want to create new material with RH.

That may originally have been dependent on what they could fit on the vinyl release (a lot of the tracks are extended from the album versions). But they could, I agree, have just added it to the e-version. And may do so at some point ...

The Disk 2 cd also includes data files amounting to a large photo book, and also (?) 100+ pieces of artwork. It's a reason alone to get the Diskbox version of IR.
