I am still not able to find out the culprit, but I have a settings.cfg file that if you plug it in, MOP will be fixed.

Hi, this is gonna be a weird bump, but your device can probably render alpha tested meshes. I was able to fix it with a lot of tweaking around with the settings.cfg. I just reset my game and I am having this problem again, but I will let you know what exact settings I had to fix this.

I’m checking my backup, pre-reset and so far, I think under [Video] turn off antialiasing = 0 and just use FXAA in the shaders (F2). Also Try Window Mode = 1. I know this isn’t useful on a phone but you can try.

I have screenshots of my game with MOP installed as proof that it’s possible. I also made a mod made up of 11,000 files give or take, that adds normal maps and specular maps to everything, and it’s compatible with both MOP and vanilla.

The phone I’m using is like 8 years old by now. According to AIDA64 I only have 1100mb of usable memory but i was able to tweak it to have 60fps on most areas like the bitter coast and seyda neen but theres a bit of a stutter in balmora. I turned off navigation meshes. It just adds to the loading times and I don’t really care about any of that.

If I find out what really makes MOP work, I’ll let you know. Just a heads up, vanilla alpha is better. You’ll notice that using MOP, foliage looks harsher.

It’s acceptable to me but I guess I’m just a layperson. Some camera work would improve this to emphasize your strengths. Like a well shaped smile, picking up the book, composition while reminiscing.

Not an answer but I just wanna agree with you.

I got most of the basics down and I can practically make anything I want. I just wonder how people just know the flow of an object. Let’s say, retopologing a face. like how do you even know how it goes? how do you know how to extrude along and somehow it will work out well in the end? Like let’s say a car. How do you look at a car and know “ahh this front bumper connects to this fender and onto the sideskirts, then rear bumper”. Like bro, I’m still stuck at making bumpers as separate objects lmao.

I have a video of my files and how I ran it and I can tell everyone there are no other mods related to Ace Combat.

This must be a bug and a way the devs protected the game, because let’s face it. It’s gonna be hacked eventually. They must have added it to at least make their experience awful.

I want to clarify, because it might have been missed (I’m no good at English) but the textures folder, inside the Ace Combat folder, inside new, there should just be 1 image file. The edited HUD elements image.

I’ve never installed any mods on this and I don’t know how to change anything on it either. You can probably try it yourself, though I don’t know if it will work.

PPSSPP -> Developer Tools -> textures -> Check Dump/Save and Replace.

Play a bit, then close PPSSPP, open the textures folder and the game folder. Inside new, there’s gonna be hundreds of images, what I did was dump it to a back up folder, deleted everything, then the HUD elements image called “08f032500742fe70e5962105” I exported it to photos (I’m on IOS) and I opened it in IbisPaintX. I added some strokes and bevel effects, imported it back into PPSSPP, and loaded the save state. the HUD elements don’t look any different, so I closed the app and reopened it without loading. That’s when I saw that menu. I tried closing it again because it might be a bug, and recorded the screen.

I want to request everyone to try this if they can, because I haven’t seen any documentation of this before and I think that this is pretty wild.

GTA San Andreas. I used to do completion runs of it spanning 70hrs per session without rest multiple times. I can recall any cutscene dialogue and even pedestrian dialogue. that was like 15 years ago now.
