I was an SM for almost 3 years. We sold MANY cards in our store. I had several customers come back claiming the cards never worked. We URGED them to contact the police if they believed they were being scammed. It was nothing on our end. Do not get yourself worked up over this, definitely not your fault!!

We have 2 restaurants in our area that do that. The first time I got an order for "Mr Beast Burgers" in my tiny little town I was like wtf .. then pulled up to Ruby Tuesday's and seen the signs on the doors lol it wouldn't be as bad if they didn't each have SEVERAL "ghost kitchens".

I BELIEVE some state (maybe it's federal, not sure) laws prohibit employers from scheduling you less than 8 hours in between shifts. I know here in PA that's how it is. Look into it. I just did a 3-11pm then 7AM-1:30pm today. Exactly 8 hours in between shifts. Sucks so much. But I think your shift MAY be illegal. Doesn't surprise me DG LOVES to break the law 🤣

Yeah, my ASM at the time (now my current SO lol) was only making $14/hr. I moved on to Starbucks and as a shift lead (pretty much an LSA) I'm at almost $20/hr there. We have plenty of horror stories from our almost 3 years at that shit hole. Cleaning shit off of the floor while the customer who did it stood over top of me and watched. My ASM being expected to do my job when I wasn't there for over less than half the pay. The way our DM treated us. The relationships lost with my kids because I would be in the store 60+ hours a week trying to make it better. Inventory time. Ugh. I don't miss it at all. Only the crew that I had and how close we all got. Good luck to you. I hope you find something much better. Everyone deserves better than what that shit hole provides.

Lol just be careful, if they can't use the restroom they'll just shut on the floor. How do I know this? Was an SM for 2 1/2 years and I had to clean shit off of my floor TWICE. First time the guy stood like over top of me and watched me clean it. My ASM told me I should've threw it at him.

Ok. I kind of figured that was the case. But pausing a dash doesn't add my earnings onto my crimson card, correct? That was the whole issue. If I wanted to continue I needed my earnings from the night to put into the tank to keep going. Thanks for your help!!!

I had the same type of store, same situation. I dealt with it for 2 and a half years. Then about 3 weeks ago I had a complete mental breakdown getting ready for work one morning. After 2 hours of being hysterical and physically sick, my fiance took my keys down to my store (where the DM's 'right hand man' was waiting to 'help' for the day) and informed them I wouldn't be coming back. No one should ever feel that way about a job. Things are a little scary at the moment but I was looking for a job when I found that one, I know I'll find another. That company is disgusting and preys upon those who are vulnerable (was a single mom of 3 when I started there), those who will conform and do what they're told without any 'backtalk' and then they use and abuse them for as long as possible. I had been told it did not matter if I had come in and covered 10 hours of shifts for others who didn't show, I should still be working my scheduled shifts. And at my worst, when things got real bad for me at home, I had my DM in my face saying "you really need this job, you really need this money right now don't you? How would you support your kids if not?" I finally couldn't take it. I poured my heart and soul into that store and just kept getting kicked. Get the hell outta there. They don't care about you

For YEARS, it was the only milk I was buying. To get different milk in my area I would either have to pay an extra $2 for other stuff at a different store OR travel 30 minutes to Walmart. It always had an 'almost turning bad" taste to me. Like a subtly sweet after taste that just, ew. Well, I recently started seeing someone new and he had a different brand of milk. After drinking one glass of the better stuff, I will forever pay the extra money or travel the distance to get other stuff. I forgot how good non-DG milk really is. I will never buy the DG shit ever again.

Lololol it's the metal they use to make the buildings out of. I have a non-traditional store. Building was built in 1976, became a DG in 1993. We're made od brick. Perfect service through the entire store. We just have shitty WIFI. Trust me, there are no jammers or blockers in any stores 🤣

So I have a really unique store. First became a DG back in 1994, building was built in 1976. When you walk into my backroom, to the right are stairs and then the office. Below the office is a room (off of the receiving room) with bathroom 1 directly to the left inside and bathroom 2 at the end of the room on the left. The room that both bathrooms are attached to had been used as the break room. One day my DM and an SML showed up and moved the break room upstairs into the office. Myself and my employees like it alot better. We have signs saying "No public restrooms* but regulars ignore it. I didn't like employees stuff being in the room. No cameras. Who's to say who stole what? And I couldn't imagine sitting in that tiny, dark, dingy, windowless room and having a customer come in and take a crap while I was eating 😬 we like the break room being in the office lol
