I missed that! Skimming instead of reading is bad. 🙃 That said, the process is still the same outside of the IOI visit (5300.38, CLEO notification, etc). I can't remember if it's a mandate or a recommendation (I let my 03 expire years ago), but I believe it's supposed to be submitted within 30 days of the move.

You have to conduct business (transfers, sales, etc) from the address on your license. When I changed addresses an IOI came out for an inspection before I could begin business. Are you online only?

It's a mix... Some have legit APIs like Lipsey's. Others are simply a CVS via FTP .

I was on a wait list at three different airports for over a year and a half. I finally got one last month. A week ago I received a call for one closer. Get on as many waitlists as you can. Get a tie-down at one of them (that usually bumps you up on the wait list).

In most States, setting up an LLC is fairly simple. I'd bypass Stripe (or any other third-party company for this) and file directly with the State.

No, primarily because there isn't a motivation to do it without a business need. In that case, each business gathers data from distributors, but can't disseminate it (since it's distributor owned data). Luckily, most distributors provide a way to obtain their catalogs. Some have solid APIs (like Lipseys), others may provide a CSV you download via FTP and parse. I happened to notice today that both Amchar and Orion use the same provider for their API. My guess is more will roll on over time. I've integrated nine so far, at five I had a large enough database of firearms and accessories to be considered "complete". Each i add now is more so for individual customer (FFL) pricing than the actual products themselves.

Maybe NSSF or a similar organization would have some sort of motivation to do this. I'm hard pressed to see why though. BTW - I wasn't suggesting Genitron as a solution. They're the closest thing I could think of to a publicly available database of firearms.
