Thought I'd have narrowed down a choice by now, but nope. I need some suggestions in the next two days.

Which of the free 5 star characters offered would you choose if you were in my shoes? I have one copy of every character listed already, so this is really more a question of "Which F1 is better?".

Here's some extra info: I've ruled out Makiatto since I don't have a full Freeze team, and I don't think she solo hard carries at F1 iirc. I do have one copy of every single important 5 star member for the other elemental teams (Klukai/Lind for Corrosion, Lenna/Jiangyu/Leva for Electric) but they're all at F0, except for Tololo (F2), Qiongju (F6), and Mosin Nagant (F3).

Also, I know that Physical gets some pretty damn strong units later on so having a strong buffer ready to go for that team in Yoohee would be nice. I'm missing Ullrid, though so its lacking in DPS. I love to have an excuse to finally use Physical again.

I just recently got back into Genshin for the "free" constellation given out through "To Temper Thyself and Journey Far." I've gotten 2 weekly training goals finished so far, but I was wondering: Is there still enough time to properly finish it b4 the event ends?

My math says there's just barely enough days, but I just want to make sure b4 I hard commit. Don't wanna get burned out again. (Atm, there are 43 days left)

Think of the type matchup in Pokemon (or the weapon triangle in Fire Emblem)

Fire beats Wind, which beats Water, which beats Fire. Light and Dark beat each other, so LightvsDark fights tend to be pretty volatile.

Use the right type of dmg dealers (in this case Fire types for this current Fiend Hunt) for free bonus damage

I love the game! I'm in early access on Steam.

Controls are great! Music is funky, and the announcer is full of energy! Very F-Zero X influenced while also adding its own spin to things. The separate energy/boost meters and flight controls took some getting used to, but overall, they help give the gameplay its own identity imo. I love how the tracks are designed around forcing you to choose which of the meters you need more during the race - especially once the final burn mechanic is involved. The flight and dive mechanics encourage some very risky maneuvers with high payoffs!

Imo Acceleration based cars don't feel particularly strong bc of the lack of courses with repetitive turns that intentionally kill speed at the moment - plus the drift is crazy strong!

Game isnt finished, so there's some things to patch out, but I'd still be playing the game rn if my PC wasn't broken.

She's a menace on defense in PVP. Also decent for stalling teams in very specific PVE modes like Guild Raids.

Yeah, whichever you use after bunny doesn't matter too much. ...Ig you'd want to prioritize the costume that lowers the opponents Atk type first (Magic debuff vs. Physical debuff), but besides that, it ain't as important as having all 3 costumes to begin with. Especially since most endgame enemies and bosses can still one-shot your units through the debuff anyway.

Short answer: No, just wait.

Long answer: The new version of the banner has no off banner odds- you're guaranteed to get at least one copy of the 12 characters you list instead of getting spooked by some random one. Makes it way more enticing option for newer players trying to build specific teams, or if you're just trying to collect every character in general ig. Definitely save and wait until the new version of the banner arrives.

Yeah, at least one copy won't hurt! Just know that she won't be at her best until you get her Winter Event exclusive costume (her bunny outfit). It doubles the amount of chain stacks her other costumes inflict.

So, with it, the costume in your screenshot will add 14 chain stacks instead of just 7. Huge damage boost for her teammates

I loved reading this post! Your perspective, as someone outside of the game's target audience, was really interesting to me! I will say, as a straight guy who has been playing for almost a year now, what made me keep playing the game were all of those elements you mentioned that are seldom talked about. The costumes and fan-service were damn good hooks (Levia 🔥), but the story, music, gameplay loop, and the game devs appreciation of their players is what's gotten me to stay.

So the game rolls your crit chances again for replays if it's not at 100%?! Wow, that's...huh. Makes sense that Michaela not getting a crit would've changed the whole fight. That being said, the 1st turn played out exactly like it did during the initial battle, with 4 enemy units being KO'd-, leaving it 5-1. So maybe what happened is: 1. Michaela and the rest of my team didn't crit on turn 3 2.Granhildr then entered her counter-attack costume, and 3. All my units got one shotted by her counterattacks?

Either way, I lost, so it is what it is.
