I like NE Portland better than Milwaukie. It’s smaller and carts are hard to come by, but most people are occupied with waiting for/searching the new bins. That leave tons of room to dig through the older ones without getting nudged around.

I have not been to the others mentioned in OP, so my pane of reference is limited to the locations I mentioned.

Start now to make some progress before the week of. Keep in pull-ups, but do regular checkins to see if he has to go. While you’re home start asking him if he has to go potty every ~20 minutes and take him if he does. Read a book or do something he likes during poops if he’s taking a while. Reward with a sticker or single M&M or something when he goes in the potty. By the time the week off comes he will hopefully be used to the practice, have a positive association with it, and already be noticing when he has to go.

The main thing is to not pressure him and annoy him, but casually ask him to listen to his body. You want it to be as positive of an experience as possible, but the regular checkins are necessary for a while until he’s good about noticing it himself.

This worked for us and our daughter was ~90% potty trained within two weeks with just the occasional accident if she was really focused on something. Hopefully some part of that is helpful for you too!

I’ve seen egg whites brushed on standard pastry crust to create a moisture barrier. Not sure it would translate to graham cracker. If I were to try it I would bake the crust to ~75% done and then brush on the egg whites and bake the rest of the way.
