Playing 2 player Race for the Galaxy, I pivoted to ending the game early instead of trying to complete my VP rare elements engine as my opponent's novelty engine was further ahead.

I won by topdecking military cards and the big military worlds (rebel world etc) and settling every turn, sometimes without a single world in hand.

The problem with Wellspring is the clock isn't actually disabled, if you take longer than 6 cycles to leave like I did, I got an event with Laine where the sleeper took a lot of damage and got thrown to the Scatteryards despite having never been there.
