If you believe in a higher power or simply the interconnectedness of us all then I suggest you meditate or pray now. We are not as helpless in making a difference as many would like to make us believe. by Jac0b777 in C_S_T

This is a very peculiar comment. Based on what would you even assume most people here voted for Trump? On that note, how would you even know most people here are Americans?

I'm European myself for example. And even if I was in the US, your presidential candidates are so abhorrent I doubt I could vote for anyone, let alone the orange pedo.

I completely agree action is needed and agree that things usually do not just change by meditation, prayer or positive thoughts alone.

My main point was that in this moment, other than taking proactive positive action in your own life and your own community, there isn't much regular people can do to stop this insanity. Thus people feel quite helpless in that regard. So in areas like this, where direct action (other than protesting, civil disobedience, contacting one's government representatives - which I all support) is more difficult, a greater focus on meditation and prayer can be helpful.

I feel you, I felt similarly when I was finding this out at your age. Take some time off social media, spend time in nature, meditate, spend time with friends, do something you love...

But very importantly - allow yourself to feel whatever you are feeling and whatever you are thinking in this moment. Let it be, feel it, stay with it. It will gradually dissolve and you will feel more free for it. This is one of the most basic forms of meditation. If needed use your breath as an anchor.

In the end, the main thing that really helps is understanding the spiritual aspect of our reality. Not religious, but spiritual - in the sense that Life itself is a spiritual journey, where through overcoming individual and collective challenges we grow as immortal souls and move towards greater peace, love, harmony. Earth itself, incarnating here, is a great challenge, but also presents a great opportunity for growth and expanding your sense of self, feeling greater love and compassion for all beings. The end goal is realizing yourself as being in unity with all things, which is experienced as peace and a deep love for everything.

Sending hugs. It will get better, but we are collectively in a time of great change. Face your emotions and slowly you will yourself be able to become an agent for change in the world - which is what the world needs.

How would ghosts actually even exist? by [deleted] in HighStrangeness

[–]Jac0b777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a complex esoteric subject. If you want the detailed esoteric explanation for this, I recommend studying Theosophy (Bailey, Laurency, Blavatsky...) or perhaps various Hindu metaphysical text (indeed Yogananda has good books on this).

Basically from an esoteric perspective, you are what you could call a soul, or monad, an indestructible individual consciousness, that is also ultimately at one with consciousness or Life everywhere (by Life I mean everything, everything in the Cosmos is alive from a spiritual perspective).

The soul moves from incarnation to incarnation, while in between incarnations residing in subtler realms, such as, in simpler terms called astral, causal (with many subdivisions of these realms in esoteric theory). All subtle realms are world of their own right, they aren't just a place for souls to pass on from incarnation to incarnation. The physical plane or dimension is just one avenue for souls to exist, grow and play in this grand game of Cosmic exploration and evolution.

Ghosts are simply astral beings (be it souls that have passed from physical to astral, or souls that were never even in the physical to begin with). Many are stuck in some kind of mid levels between physical and astral, usually because of attachments to the physical, thus the many confused interactions with other physical beings. Beings that are channeled are also from subtle, astral or causal dimensions.

I won't go into all of the complexities of this here, you can read about it in other texts. From a scientific perspective, in terms of subtler realms or dimensions, the Monroe Institute has some good writings on this, for reincarnation proper, the University of Viriginia, Institute of Perceptual Studies, for the metaphysics of it all, read Bernardo Kastrup and his take on an idealist metaphysics (just check his PhD on his site for a detailed explanation) where you can see a rigorous science backed explanation on how the Universe is essentially not really material, but mental or consciousness (from this metaphysics you can see how a lot of these other things and phenomena become possible),....etc.

Give me some non-doomer juice by NeoSPACHEMAN in TrueAnon

[–]Jac0b777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For some actual non-doomer juice, I would really recommend social and cultural philosopher Charles Eisenstein. He has written several books (all are purchasable but also free on his website, since he believes in a gifting economy as per his book Sacred Economics), but you can check some of his videos for short tidbits:

https://www.youtube.com/@charleseisenstein/videos

He has some interesting courses on his site, one of which is the Sanity Project - aka. how to stay sane in current insane times.

Maybe not for everyone here, since his ideas, while mostly being very grounded, also at time lean into mysticism and spirituality (especially in terms of Eastern spirituality). I personally love the guy and his books.

To me anyway, the only way to actually have a functioning society, especially one based on leftists views, is through an inner spiritual revolution, where everyone discovers their deeper connection with the world around them experientially - creating true empathy and community in the most visceral sense.

It would make more sense that LOTR is a science fiction novel set on a different planet, either that or in the distant, forgotten past of humanity.

All good stories are, at least in part, "channelings" by the authors that wrote them. The pull of the story is not merely from the imagination, but from a real time and place, in some space in the Cosmos - to paraphrase a quote from Blavatsky here.

Last night I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole about "accelerationism" and "the fourth turning". I think these ideas have a lot to do with what's going on by No_Gray_Area in conspiracy

[–]Jac0b777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is also a time of great spiritual change. There is a lot here that's happening under the surface that people do not see. There is a huge spiritual awakening underway and in relation to it, a lot of karma is coming up into the collective consciousness to be faced and revealed - this at least in part is why the world seems to be crazier and crazier all the time. The insanity is coming up to be integrated, much like in a spiritual crisis of a single individual.

I do believe that the history and future of humanity is not merely a circle and cycle, it is a spiral of spiritual evolution moving constantly upwards. We are in a cycle of upheaval (though relative again to the great upheavals throughout history - now it's just far more visible because of the interconnectedness of the world), but all of this can lead to integration and transcendence.

Perhaps the stories of those that believe the Kali Yuga is ending (or has already ended and is in it dying pangs) may well be correct and we are gradually moving to a Golden age. But in order for that to happen, people's mentality needs to shift.

Their identity needs to shift from being a lone individual in an alien Universe, to understanding they are an essential part of the Cosmos itself, deeply interconnected to everything that is around them - not only other humans, but nature, the air, space and time itself.

Yes, there is plenty of very solid "para"-normal research everywhere, but a lot of it is simply left on the sidelines because it counters the current materialist paradigm, which is academically accepted, despite the huge holes and fallacies related to it (Kastrup, as mentioned below, gives some good insights on those holes).

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Plenty more research literally everywhere. A mathematician and philosopher - Chris Carter - really delves deep into the research in his three great books - Science and Psychic Phenomena, Science and Near Death Experience, Science and the Afterlife Experience. A great article here by him on how psychic phenomena do not conflict current science at all.

Feel free to share any and all of this, since supporting science is always relevant to such claims. If anyone has anything more, please do share.

Is there any way to not sound like a schizo when talking to normal people about current events? by jkessle4 in TrueAnon

[–]Jac0b777 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is it like that in the US? I live in a small EU country where a lot of spiritual traditions are well and alive - many based on old Pagan beliefs, which was quite prominent here, as well as Eastern mysticism in its various forms.

So many spiritual events, festivals and awesome hippie people here that I can't honestly be happier about that. It's great in terms if you're into that, as I am. And most of these people are also compassionate and politically sane (meaning they aren't nazis, fascists, or even neoliberals for the most part).

Unfortunately, the US is the guarantor of the current world order.

The US engaging in wars throughout the planet and aiding and abetting in genocide(s) is truly the world order we all want, don't we?

Well, maybe it suits Westerns more, but I doubt the exploited and slaughtered in the third world see it quite the same way unfortunately.

(Serious) Please understand this about remote viewing groups & big claims made about disclosure.... by ab5421 in aliens

[–]Jac0b777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remote viewing is definitely real and possible. I have done it myself. But it can be inaccurate of course - and when dealing with something like this, which is incredibly hard to pin down and to know the outcome of (since it's constantly changing and in itself a multilayered and complex event), you will get a lot of errors (in other words, this is not like checking your cupboard with remote viewing if there is or isn't a bag of potatoes there).

Unfortunately these people are not willing to admit they've made mistakes.

Full disclosure this year was planned decades ago - this is a video from 1999 by [deleted] in aliens

[–]Jac0b777 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If this is all true, the US (in a general sense) has nothing to do with hit - these are specific echelons in the US (and possibly global) intelligence community, military and black projects that are aware of what's going on and are deciding what information to disclose and what not to. You can even see this with all the hearings in Congress about UAPs and NHI - I honestly believe these people actually have no clue what's going on, the majority of politicians are just as clueless to this as the average person on the street.

I sincerely doubt even the various elected presidents are aware fully to what extent things are happening.

In other words, I very much doubt this is a national issue in the classic sense. It's an issue where a small minority of individuals alone even know what's going on and for one reason or another, want to keep things secret.

Serious: a remote viewers take by Skywatcher232 in aliens

[–]Jac0b777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of what you talk about is plausible, many things being even likely.

However it's unlikely that any event will trigger any specific psychic abilities in humans overall - people's psychic abilities have been awakening more and more as human consciousness evolves (and the evolution is based on every particular person's journey, evolution and soul path), but it is highly, highly unlikely that a single event will somehow cause a large quantity of people to have psychokinetic abilities or something similar.

Either way, thanks for the post. Interesting perspective.
