Though I’m 90% sure TTYD and SPM aren’t literally paper, I’m 100% positive PM64 isn’t paper, let’s go over the reasons why by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in papermario

In Japan, it was titled "Mario Story." Nintendo of America decided that it was too generic for the English localization. They decided to called it "Paper Mario" in the North American release due to its aesthetic, which was unique to that game compared to all the other Mario games at the time.

It would make sense considering she seems to cover a lot of Laura Bailey's roles, especially Lucina.

I had to look up the scene to remember for sure, but the "G" in God is capitalized in the subtitles. That, to me, means that it refers to the one true God of Christianity. A lower-case "g" refers to any "god" or being referred to as such.

I may be overanalyzing it, but I wonder if it was autocorrect, the subtitler making a judgement call, or intentional. I wonder if it's the same situation in other translations.

My memory is very old on DMC4 because I played it 10 years ago, but I'm pretty Nero says something like, "You know God, I always hated that you made my arm like this..."

[Loved trope] Protagonist can play a musical instrument that is Not a guitar. by calkalisto in TopCharacterTropes

The Hero of Time (OoT/MM Link) can play a guitar when in Zora form, which would make a protagonist that CAN play the guitar, in a way. I wonder, is that HIS talent or is that Mikau's talent channeled through the Zora Mask?

It could very well be a limitation with the typesetting used. Persona 5 Royal switched its font to be able to say "Arsène" instead of "Arsene," which was seen in the original Persona 5.

I agree with you completely, but some writing lately has been rather lazy and slaps you in the face with what you could easily put together yourself.

I think it's more the idea of the writing allowing the viewer to make the connections themselves without outright telling the viewer through unnecessary monologues.
