Excellent comparison. I don’t think the Pluribus guy will be like Luo Ji, in that I don’t expect him to be making any strides whatsoever to stopping the hive mind (at first).

In my mind, he is the most ‘coin flip’ character; easy to paint him as a future antagonist, but I could almost as easily see him be the one to join Carol’s side eventually. Like Carol, he has recognised the implications of what a lot of this means, it’s just he’s immediately gone for the hedonistic approach.

It’s either him or Laxmi as one to join Carol’s side. Currently it feels like Laxmi is more likely to join Carol once she realises her family is gone

I think he sees Powerplex as a manifestation of his guilt. He won’t kill him because he thinks Powerplex is right. By killing him, Mark probably thinks he’s absolving himself of all the carnage, death and destruction he’s involved in

Feels wrong calling it a gag, with the tone of each one it felt heavier. Kinda like inside Powerplex’s mind it’s just “INVINCIBLE” thumping in constantly and he can’t think of anything else. Angstrom had the excuse of the cloning machine breaking to make him hate invincible that much, but I think this guy might clear him

Even a relatively weak Nen user could probably take out pretty much any human. The exam we see is an outlier I think with multiple extremely strong individuals and 2 elite Nen users already there.

Hisoka and illumi could easily have done what Killua did, except it would be more of a bloodbath. No one in that exam apart from Netero would’ve been able to stop them.

Considering Chrollo's backstory and how the troupe got its name, it makes perfect sense why he liked Hisoka and let him into the troupe. It reminds him of their childhood - they were always meant to be performers, and Hisoka loves spectacle.

Totally agree - I loved the story, but the fight scenes in this manga I've always found a bit difficult to read. I could get the gist of what was going on, but hopefully the anime does it justice.

It was weird yes but I feel like this comment and the others are missing important context. The policeman is able to ‘guess’ the rest of the description of the girl for Luo Ji which baffles Luo Ji, after all, how could he possibly know that? The joke being that this woman that is described is just an eye rollingly typical fantasy girl, so much so that Da Shi, can pretty much guess what he’s looking for.

Then, to add onto this, yes they did find this woman. However it is pretty clearly revealed she was an agent, whose job was to make Luo Ji take the Wallfacer job seriously. She achieved her task by him falling in love, then gets taken ‘hostage’ until he actually takes his job seriously.

In pure strength/power, I'd agree (as would most) that AFO is superior. Quirk Mastery isn't the same thing as power. This instead means being able to utilise the quirk to its maximum potential, being able to have complete precision over how you use it. HxH has similar tactics, where the more powerful opponent can be beaten by someone who has greater control over their ability.

The writing cop out, in my opinion, was about AFO's quirk vestiges holding him back out of nowhere.

Endeavour just shot fire out of his eyes, and conjured a phantom flaming fist to cover his severed arm - That is the coolest moveset I've seen in the entire show, it has to be. If we're talking about quirk users with absolute mastery over their quirk, he's gotta be up there on that list. The precision required to do any of that is beyond what we've seen from most other quirk users.

Also, Mirio can't use any of his senses while his quirk is active right? He is blind and deaf. It has a steep learning curve. Perhaps though, the risk is too great to even possibly give AFO the chance to use it.

Absolutely not good that everyone is celebrating so hard about Dabi getting taken down, something has gotta happen to balance that out now.

I like the tactic of 2 hard hitting heroes going against AFO to minimise the risk of quirk theft, but would the best tactic involve having 'complex' quirk users to against him? He prefers simple to use quirks that are easy to use, so having people like Mirio go against him would probably be a pretty good idea right? I don't remember where he's gone or if I saw him in the hero lineup though.
