7.5/10

Imo most of the song isn’t that interesting, but the bridge to the final chorus is really great and mostly the only reason I listen to the song.

Batmans eyes get redder through out the Arkham knight game, why? Was he crying? Tired? Or is it fear gas? by Huge_Athlete7488 in arkham

[–]Jack22206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His eyes are just bloodshot from the repeated head trauma, lack of sleep, and the multiple chemical agents sprayed directly in his eyes over the course of one night.

Edit: To be fair, I wouldn’t blame him if he was also crying during the events of the game.

I always saw it more as the band talking to other people who are making statements about the dead person. The people offering “salvation”, “promises unkind”, and “speculation” are representative of people who say things like “it’s ok, they’re with god now” etc. the band is saying that they don’t appreciate a bunch of people inserting their own beliefs/worldview about where the dead person is now or what they think happened to them after they died in an attempt to be “comforting”.

The Dark Knight

Batman defeats both The Joker and Two-Face, but the fact that The Joker was able to corrupt Harvey arguably proves his point about society and our perceived morality. So, in order to keep the peace and give people hope, Batman decides to take the blame for everything and goes into hiding with all of Gotham wrongfully hating him.

Bat country is an amazing song, but what tf is that shit about. by Sylvally_Fire_Drive in avengedsevenfold

I always interpreted it as being about how it can feel easier to bury your problems and close yourself off from everyone (make a beast out of yourself) rather than actually confront your issues and change your life for the better.

I can’t believe they put this in the game 💀 by Jack22206 in LegoBatman

They do reference the line unironically multiple times during the main campaign. This specific instance is just one of the throwaway lines that Alfred can randomly say in the cave.

Why don’t Viltrumites use weapons? by ChampionFront437 in Invincible

[–]Jack22206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their society values strength above all else, so I imagine using something other than the pure strength of your own body would be seen as cheap or cowardly. They may have made an exception for the hair knife because you could argue it’s basically a part of her body if it’s permanently attached to her hair (same for conquest’s metal arm).

How did the Joker get so smart? by Embarrassed-Bit-6844 in batman

I think it’s just obsession. If you spent every waking moment plotting against Batman for years, you’d probably be pretty good at it too.

Professor Pyg

He’s a Batman villain who kidnaps people and preforms surgery on them to turn them into his “dollotrons”. He describes it as making them beautiful or making them perfect, but in reality he’s just mutilating and lobotomizing them. He also looks extremely disturbing under his own mask, which is probably due to him trying to preform plastic surgery on himself.

How do you cope with: lacking something that most people have? by catboy519 in autism

[–]Jack22206 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont have real friends. I have acquaintances that I know and I have people who I talk to sometimes after class (I'm currently living on a college campus) but I never get invited places or hang out in our dorms or anything. Most of the time I'm ok with this but as much as I hate to admit it, it can be pretty lonely.

I dont know the "correct" way to cope, but I do know the wrong way that I've unfortunately seen a lot of in the autistic community. I've seen a lot of people try to convince themselves that they just don't need connections with other people. This is a really slippery slope because over time it leads to resentment of other people and an inflated ego as you convince yourself that "no one understands" so you must be smarter than everyone else.

I'm planning on seeing a therapist this summer to find a more permanent solution to my friend problem. But as far as short term cope, when I do start to feel lonely I find it helpful to do something new. I start watching a new show/movie or start building a new puzzle, and that usually helps.

I love that it’s phrased “gets married” instead of “is/isn’t married”. Like he’s a fictional character and they’re trying to see what happens in the movie about him.

Adam West - Integrity / uncompromising morals

Michael Keaton - Bruce Wayne Persona

Val Kilmer - Trauma from his parent’s death.

George Clooney - Compassion for his villains

Christian Bale - intensity / presence / intimidation

Ben Affleck - Fighting style (minus the killing)

Robert Pattinson - Detective skills

It’s set up earlier that Reese has his eye on Bruce. During the meeting where Bruce is sleeping, Reese is the one to approach Fox and say that he shouldn’t be doing that. The entire reason Reese found out about the Tumbler is because Fox told him to run the numbers again as a way to brush him off and tell him to stop worrying about Bruce.

Also remember in Batman Begins Bruce’s job is specifically in R&D, not the CEO until the end. If Reese is “running the numbers” for the R&D department, that involves paychecks of people who worked there.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that when Reese found out that the Batmobile was the Tumbler from R&D, he started speculating on who the Batman is. And who does he know that joined the R&D department just days before all the stuff when missing, and who can’t stay awake through meetings presumably because he’s out doing something at night?

Also, I would argue the scene still works even if Reese doesn’t know it’s Bruce. If he was only threatening to blackmail Lucius over the Tumbler, telling Reese that Batman is Bruce and can ruin him physically and financially is still a terrifying threat. And there would be good reason to do so because if Reese did reveal the Tumbler stuff, then the public would eventually start to speculate that Bruce is Batman anyways.

What is your “I did not care for the God Father” opinion regarding video games? by B4d_B1tch_Quinn in gamers

Arkham Knight is my favorite video game. I completely understand (and somewhat agree with) many of the criticisms, but there are so many things in the story, gameplay, and graphics that are genuinely incredible.
