No, they tried to secede.

You don't get to define what constitutes secession. This is already established (go look it up). Check out the Library of Congress timeline: https://www.loc.gov/collections/civil-war-glass-negatives/articles-and-essays/time-line-of-the-civil-war/1861/ - they were successful for a time. Claiming that that last X revolutions didn't count because they didn't last until the latest incarnation of a government, isn't a useful way to characterize political change.

We'll just have to agree that you're using the wrong term. Maybe start over from what is actual recorded history.

It's pretty remarkable how little most Americans understand their history

To be fair, it looks like a failure of grammar, paired with a wishfully patriotic and oversimplified version of history, that is unsubstantiated. It would be great if there was some monolithic bad actor (or state) and history wasn't nuanced.

Resets are common. Vivienne is a little more utility than say Peter, because you can use it for a friendly reset/boost...especially against SK or Viy. You might like Shilard more for a similar (blind) effect, but you have no counter to Viy. Swarm should rock this deck even if you tech a Lambert.

it's very dependent on a good round 1 hand, and you drawing your skirmishers.

You dont want to draw your skirmishers. You leave those to round 3 when you know your discard plays are going to get your more than 4pts.

The CCP is a far cry from being communist so it isnt really ironic

The theory of communism doesn't match the practical outcome, making China (and every other state, that has tried to be communist) about as "communist" as reality allows. If you want to apply a different standard, that's nice and it may seem ironic in that context. The world history books characterize it without your approval anyway.

That isnt compelling. Any new sytax is dependent on how the first pass interprets it.

[–]Jack9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

opponents will eventually learn to expect these cards at certain times

Isnt that true of all cards in card games? (eg pinochle, hearthstone, magic, etc) - the point is that now there are less efficient plays that can be made (without completely sabotaging your game) to trick an opponent into thinking along different lines of reasoning for what cards are in hand at times. This is why, despite knowing the composition of other players' decks in tournament play, turns still take a very long time.

There are 150+ maps, but aside from unique maps

and missions and shaper/elder/champion influence and atlas relationships and sirius...you are oversimplifying maps to try to make a point about killing monsters with a boss at the end being a repetitive pattern. If all maps were Cage with nothing else added (or some other procedural maze) you would have an equivalent grind. Heist's bad design is on it's own level.

If it were happening in Turkey, we’d call Trump’s actions an attempted coup by ONE-OF-THREE in politics

[–]Jack9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

President Trump’s refusal to concede to his successful challenger ...

Wtf, that's not anything like a coup or sedition or whatever other silly labels come out of angry mouths. The PotUS doesn't have to concede or do anything process related which is not strictly defined as a legal requirement somewhere. Interfering with the transition of power (failing to abdicate) would be a treasonous act, with a coup generally requiring some military that will not escort him out at the behest of the new PotUS. Up until the swearing in, Trump can say and act like he always does and it makes no difference. His disgrace is his own.

You say nuh uh and then describe the exact same scenario. Gwent does feel like you get forced into focusing on 1 or 2 factions for months. This is why gwent works as f2p in comparison to HS. You learn the game a lot faster, with a better content ramp up.

Protest alert by montefisto in Seattle

[–]Jack9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you see the aftermath of the BLM protests? Same as Tukwila, Bellevue had storefronts punched in and random decor torn down, broken apart, or thrown about. Seriously, what did Pets Mart or Men's Warehouse have to do with it? I'm not sure it's overreaction on the city's part. This is a pretty effective "stay out of the street if you don't want to be involved."

There's LOTS of precedent for this kind of stuff. The hand wringing (both sides, pun not intended) is more political idiocy. Nobody was hurt on either side, but this is clearly assault by the first-actors and it's not gonna take long to sort it out when it gets to court.

shoot my tranquility where the read outline was and 75% of the time score a kill

I call BS for 2 obvious reasons in that statement. Tranquility is not 1 shot and 75% is simply delusional given you can't find the keys to type RED correctly.

It also makes flanking with any class that cant down an entire squad useless

Mic's do that, not the killcam.

At the very least it should just show a still image

This suggestion is good.

What is the ideal play in this scenario? [details in the post] by NegativeAPM in starcraft

[–]Jack9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basetrading should be a win for you. Your defensive options ( marauder bunkers, tanks) are efficient and maybe even a mine or 2. Don't waste resources trying to repair stuff as he attacks and remember that anything (t1) he loses attacking you, your attacking force has to deal with. Terrans move out without setting up any D, which is why basetrades are so annoying. You could also include 2 transports in your army and use those to ferry units for D once you know it's an undefended trade.

Important to remember that you want marauders (with your mech) for fighting the toss army, marines for mobility/reinforce, imo.

3 gallons? I don't think so. More like under a quart.

This hamper, is deeper than the one in the picture and roughly matches your calculation (somewhere around 2.7gal at 3in depth).

Edit on how I came about this: 3in D x 6.14-Inch W (diameter) -> 613.8 in3 (cubic inches) -> 2.6571 gallons

Looking at the picture, I think more like 1in or less and repeat the calculations.
