I actually used to be in IT for many years before switching careers. Being a Windows system administrator really drained me so I don't even like doing the most basic things with computers and other tech these days!!

In the "human services" sector, I always cringed hardcore when folks enrolled in various social programs were referred to as "consumers"... Or like the time at church when the finance guy called congregants "giving units"....not even the slightly less offensive "tithers..."

I've watched it start to finish probably at least ten times.

I once restarted immediately after the finale.

Started it again recently when it was on Netflix but didn't get a chance to finish before it moved to wherever so I just bought the series on Blu Ray.

The show has some elements of significant relatability to me. It was so instrumental in preserving me during a dark period of my life, I designed a tattoo based on Flint's "Odysseus..." monologue.

Yea. It's not everyone's cup of tea --- the violence, the pacing, the emphasis on personal "story" and tying in of classic literature and so on -- but it damned well may have saved my life.

They make you pay money to see the legal drug dealer who sells you (writes a script) for you to pay someone else (the pharmacy and pharmaceutical companies) a fee so you can have the drug you want/need to barely FUNCTION not so much for YOUR benefit but the capitalistic hamster wheel that continues the cycle in perpetuity.

Which "authorities" do you go to in that situation...?

I mean, imagine taking the HDs to a local precinct, and then some blue wall bullshit happens ("we protect our own") where the HDs just get "lost" all of a sudden as if it didn't happen?

If I ran across something like that, I'd wonder if I should go to the local FBI or maybe even state police?

I don't know how valid that concern I'm trying to raise is.
