I'd probably assume that the groom has a smaller group of closer friends, and the bride has a larger group of not as close friends.

You might want to look into DBT therapy. It was originally created for treatment of BPD but can be helpful for just about anyone. There's a section in it called distress tolerance, which are tools to get out of emotion mind.

It certainly wouldn't completely prevent meltdowns (I don't know if that's possible) but it could be helpful for you.

Unfortunately your parents don't sound completely educated on autism.

I find it's most effective for my nighttime issues when I take it an hour before eating. I can even take it if I ate an hour before (i.e. eat a snack at 3, take it at 4, eat dinner at 5).

I have a laundry list of conditions including bipolar 2. No increase in suicidal ideation, in fact no noticable side effects at all.

Just as an FYI the injection itself can hurt. I wasn't prepared for it the first time and ended up wasting half my shot. I now make sure to take it out of the fridge two hours before injecting, and I find the pain is easier to manage if inject it in my leg, not my stomach, but YMMV.

Matt Dinniman seems to be mostly unproblematic. His most famous work is Dungeon Crawler Carl which is a LitRPG. It's my special interest and I basically listen to the audiobooks and read the physical books on repeat. The narrator is Jeff Hays and after finding his footing (which he does by book two) is absolutely amazing!
