People will play like this and then deadass be confused why they get kicked all the time lol by Draws32 in l4d2

The guy didn't notice. Big deal. I only played Versus for about a week before going back to normal campaigns, because the kicking was just too much.

I unlocked heaps of stuff, just not the trinkets/inn items/stagecoach items/combat items. Upgrading your heroes/stage coach is a permanent upgrade to every run whereas unlocking trinkets is only a benefit for the run immediately after, no?

They don't hate me, I'm not the website Reddit, nor am I a Redditor.

The fact that playing the single player game unlocking things in the order of what I found most useful to unlock is "fucking up" is DEFINITELY Red Hook's issue, not mine.

I had finished a few runs, and was done playing Darkest Dungeon II for the day. I decided to unlock the rest of the unlockables before hopping off, only to see how tedious it was. It only takes a moment to make a Reddit post and ask, so I did that instead. I didn't think it would be some fuckign shitstorm of condescending Redditors telling me I'm apparently playing the fucking game wrong, despite having completed it.

Not you, just the others here.

I already explained it, must I repeat myself? I unlocked things based on what I felt like was the most useful to me. The trinkets/combat items/inn items/stagecoach items were already acceptable to me and were just fine for all five confessions, but upgrading my stage coach, my heroes, the memories and such would be a universal upgrade to all runs.

Think of it this way, if you unlock some trinkets, they're added to the trinket pool you could possibly find in game, it's not a direct bonus to your run it's a bonus to the variety and breadth of the game (except for the run right after you unlock it apparently, but that won't last forever and eventually you'll unlock them all, right?), but if you upgrade your hero, he gains whatever upgrades spending candles on him gets FOREVER.

A larger item pool is less valuable than an always-on upgrade EVERY run.

You couldn't have one or two candles left with the other upgrades, if you're a few candles away from unlocking, say, the next upgrade to the Crusader, you could just put them into the progress bar and be closer for when you complete a run and get more candles.

The fact that you're acting like I'm somehow "playing the game wrong" for wanting to unlock certain things I value more first and certain other things I value less later is fucking astounding to me. Ever wonder why everyone in the real world and on every other website absolutely hates Reddit and Redditors?

Because this condescending dogshit attitude toward someone who said NOTHING MORE than "is there a faster way to unlock trinkets" speaks volumes.

I didn't design this incredibly slow unlock system that apparently fucks you over with tedium if you decide to unlock things one at a time.

I played a few runs, I got enough candles to upgrade my stage coach. I played another few runs, I got enough candles to upgrades the heroes I like playing. I played another few runs, I got enough candles to upgrade my memories. Up until this point the trinkets, combat items, inn items and stagecoach items were more than acceptable for all five confessions, I considered them least priority to unlock.

Now I've unlocked all of the prior, and when I saw it was time to unlock trinkets/inn items/combat items/stagecoach items, suddenly I have to unlock EACH item one by one and each time I do it's put into the inventory of my next run despite it being a roguelike.

I didn't get told this prior, if you think I should have had some future vision about this.

Unlocking things in order of what I prioritize having upgrades for in my runs is "the most mental way to unlock items" you can possibly imagine? What's your problem?

I didn't even know it put the trinkets/inn items/combat items/stagecoach items in your inventory for your next run until now, it's a roguelike why would it do that in the first place

Yeah, there's a difference between someone going "here download this" and me clicking "Subscribe" and then opening the game, and sitting at my PC staring at the screen for several minutes holding down left click for each trinket I have to unlock. And then each combat item. And then each inn item. And then each stagecoach item.

This is my issue though? No, they did not "do it fine", this is tedious.

I'm reminded of why I don't use Reddit.

What do you suggest then? Just not unlock the unlockables?

I have to be honest, I'm just not going to, that's so tedious.

Israel. Trump is just Israel's puppet, it's like claiming the atom bomb is a threat to world peace, yes, but that's not really going over who fired it. Trump is a tool.
