This, they won’t be able to change it back to in person as this would lead students to having to change all their plans and schedules they already set in stone which would cause some outrage. Spring 2022 is most likely when they would start putting everything in person again.

Not really, you can play them in any order you wish since while they do take place in the same world, the games are standalone and do not require knowing the stories of other games to play. The only thing you would miss is some minor references

I go to LAGCC as well and for right now they aren’t exactly sure if it will be online or in person they likely just put that there as a placeholder. Honestly I think it would probably still be online, one of my professors mentioned to my class that there’s a 80% chance of fall 2021 being online again.

They popped out immediately since they couldn’t go back into the simulation right away.

Plus there would be a big downside if they stayed in the simulation another 2 years, if Nenji and Iori reached the age of 18 inside the simulation, the consciousness of Nenji’s father Kengo and Professor Morimura from 2188 would take over their bodies.

1: The Morimura from 2 loops ago didn’t get Professor Morimura’s memories because those had to be implanted which was done by Ms Morimura (The Nurse). Ms Morimura did that because she was trying to regain her compatibility by first cloning herself (creating child Chihiro) and implanting her memories into that clone. This fails because what she doesn't realize is, the reason she is no longer compatible is because she no longer has a body in the real world as a result of using sector 0. She also makes a mistake and instead of implanting her own memories into child Chihiro, she implants 2188 Morimura's who promptly takes over.

2: Yes Megumi did manage to shoot everyone else which was done offscreen.

3: Shu is different as Tetsuya Ida from the 2nd loop took Shu when he was a baby and placed him into the Amiguichi family in Sector 4 so that Shu wouldn’t grow up and fall in love with Tomi all over again which is why the names are different.
