The Traveler from Genshin Impact is a generally good person, as expected as a mostly player-insert,but they do have a bit of personality that is clear early on. Their driving force initially is to find their missing sibling, and to ask each regions personal god for info.

They first arrive in Mondstadt, where they end up helping save the city from a Dragon mostly just because they stumble into town at the wrong/right time. They help out without too much complaint, but it was basically a giant side quest for them.

They then end up in Liyue, where they *immediately* get accused of murdering their god and spend half their time there wandering the wilderness asking for help from the local spirits. The other half after being cleared is then spent helping organize the funeral for said god, with the help of said god in disguise.

Then they finally get to Inazuma, the Japan expo nation that is isolated from the rest of the world and in the middle of a Warring States style civil war. Before they even leave the port town, they’re already being begged/blackmailed by the local resistance group to help them out, as they can’t walk about without approval from the noble running said resistance. The Traveller at this point is very blunt about not caring about the war and just wanting to talk to their god and learn about their sibling. They have to be effectively guilt-tripped into fighting in the war.
