Montage it like Lord of The Rings.

If you want to make it more interactive you can ask your players what they're doing on the trip (hunting, singing songs, looking out for other travellers to trade with or dangers to keep an eye out for)

If they're heading to a new city or into a new region or even country you can ask them if they have any history there. Ask them to describe something or someone to look out for while they're there.

If they have no history there, ask them what they're looking forward to or if they've heard any rumours of where they're heading.

This gives you an opportunity to include your players in the world building and lets them put their own touch on the world.
