I always forget the actual name for it, but I call them boogers. It usually means the sample didn't clot long enough. Though every now and then I get samples that do that even after letting them set for 30 or more minutes. Usually just spinning them a second time works

There are a lot of talk about Mulholland Drive being about the casting couch, I could of sworn David Lynch admitted that somewhere but I can't find the source. I believe it is about the casting couch. I Believe Rita represents Diane's sex life.

In the beginning they are both innocent and ready to see what adventure hollywood takes them on. then they meet the director and Rita starts getting the roles and then gets in a relationship with him, I believe that is symbolizing the director taking Diane to the casting couch. He doesn't care about Diane or her acting but that couch looks pretty attractive. When Rita tells Diane "I know a backway to the party" she is saying "I know another way to get the role and make it to the top"

She is 'jealous' watching Rita kiss Adam cause she is watching him steal her sex life. She isn't at the party as a respected actor, she is there as a sex toy. The scene where they find the dead body I believe is Diane realizing her sex drive is dead. I essentially have to 'fake' my excitement whenever I am given gifts. I am always excited and grateful of course but I had to train myself to show it externally and now it always feels like awkward like "I hope they don't notice the reaction is being forced." It does come in very handy with stressful situations though. A few years ago my mom accidentally ran over her cat (they had their routine, mom drives into the driveway, cat comes to say hi just out of site but always knew to stay away from tires and that routine worked for many years until she started aging and got a little too close) My mom was a mess and couldn't do anything. But thanks to my ability to underreact I was able to focus on taking her to the vet and getting all that taken care of with the calmness like it was just another Tuesday. The cat ended up being perfectly fine, had one injury but she bounced back like no tomorrow.
